Sorry, but this antenna is rubbish. It looks pretty but It is not remotely resonant at the air band frequency range. It is 35cm long. It may have a loading coil at the base? Though it’s sealed up so cannot be sure.Yes of course it works a good bit better than the very short standard dual band VHF/UHF antennas supplied with the Quanshengs etc, simply because it is a longer. But to those who say it’s great, please just go try a simple home made quarter wave whip antenna (which actually gives around 3-5db more gain than this trash). It is disappointing that the supposed frequency range is not even printed on it (pretty obvious why not though). I don’t know what frequency this antenna was designed for (if indeed it was *designed* at all). To sell it as a specific air band one is an incorrect description IMHO. I hate giving negative reviews but it has to be said. Way better ones are available. I should have sent it straight back but it was too late when I tested it properly.

I like it it works well on my Radtel rt 470 handheld transceiver I can copy stations almost in the noise good antenna

Very poor antenna,recieved nothing at all. Had this antenna on a radtel rt 470x and transmitted to my local repeater it it did nothing but tried it with the stock antenna and the repeater opened. Tried on several other frequencies and heard nothing but again the stock antenna recieved well. Absolute rubbish antenna. The 1 star i have given is for asthetic reasons,i looks quite nice but practicaly rubbish.

I got better reception with the original aerial.

Bought this for Airband reception. Fails to receive anything but noise. Tried on 3 radios, and 1 SDR Radio all which received my local Airport ok, but not with this antenna. Waste of Money. Would send it back but lost the bag and not worth the hassle.

I have a TalkPod A36 Pro Intl version and I have this mostly for the ability to listen to planes in the local area and occasionally listen to the locals on repeaters. This antenna even though tuned for Aviation Bands 108-136mhz which it still allows better than stock antenna's reception on the higher bands. When it comes to aviation bands on my A36 it is definitely a vast improvement over the stock antenna for sure. It is much longer but is very flexible and can bent down to fit in a case or removed easily. This antenna gets plans communicating with ATC at a distance maximum in my area of over 80 miles away. I cant hear the local airports tower (rarely at night inside) but if I go outside the airport is about 6 miles away and I can make out the ATIS as well as the tower and departure and clearance delivery channels without issue. The old antenna could never hear the tower or ATIS so there is a vast improvement with this antenna. Great Buy fast Shipping and Works great you cant go wrong! NOT just for RADTEL Radios at all. Fits most handheld.

Cumple totalmente mis necesidades

Haven't used it a lot but seems to give me better range/clarity of signal. The folding option is great because I can leave it folded down unless I need the extra pickup.

Comparado con otro dispositivo con antena original está antena no recibe nada mientras la original si capta señal además en la antena no viene grabado el rango de frecuencias el vendedor debería de cambiar el anuncio es una antena larga y poco más e incluso si es como pone de banda aérea editar un video con analizador de antena como verificación de que el artículo cumple con la especificaciones del anuncio
