I was using a more expensive competitor brand before I found these. These dryer sheets smell just as good as the more expensive kind and work just as well. The scent is lovely and woodsy. I highly recommend the detergent too!

My favorite scent that I have used for years. The scent is fresh clean and not overpowering. My clothes come out of the dryer soft and fresh when I throw this in. I am also a big fan of the clean product that Mrs. meyers makes - no harsh chemicals. It's not your standard dryer sheet - it is better in my opinion.

While dryer sheets are not particularly environmentally friendly, these are a decent compromise if your washer doesn’t have a liquid softener dispenser. The scent is mild lavender but not strong perfume like you might expect from something like lavender scented hand-lotion that popular with the boomers as some sort of aromatherapy. (This is just a personal observation about lavender scented products so please excuse my broad generalization.)More importantly, while it does a decent job of eliminating static cling and help alleviate you clothing from getting covered in “lint pills”. I am sure there are stronger chemicals that do a more thorough job, but I personally would rather not have that much residue on my clothing as I find too much softener can give clothes a “plasticky” feel, not to mention being doused in scenting. Also, unlike sheets from the big surfactant conglomerates, the sheet material is bio-degradable (though the waxy coating probably preserves the paper for decades) where name-brand sheets are made from synthetic fibers and won’t break down in landfills for thousands of years. Finally, depending on personal preference, you might find you need two sheets per load versus one. I will decide how many based on the load: two for large loads, especially one with bed sheets and jeans, but just one for less bulky loads and/or loads with small items like shirts, socks, etc... that tumble more freely. (Maybe it’s physics or maybe it’s just my imagination, but this “system” seems to work well.) All in all, while not as good of a value as name-brand dryer sheets, I prefer these as they are light on the scent and do their job without the need for unnecessary polycarbons.IMPORTANT: To get even a remotely good result with these sheets, you need to manually unfold each sheet before tossing it into your dryer as it will not open on its own. They really should print this on the box because if you don’t you’ll be wasting a good portion of the product as the sheet’s paper coating will just “bake” together folded with most of it’s surface never touching your clothing, getting wasted, and not doing much good. This might be why some people complain that these don’t work very well, but detractors may just be used to using a cup of liquid Downy per. If that’s what you want, you probably want a more concentrated product. Personally, I think this much softener is excessive to the point of being potentially unhealthy (who knows, maybe the hippies are right on this one) but that’s just one man’s opinion and doesn’t make me right. Like I said, I’m not one for excessive scent residue- I like there to be just enough so that a sniff test makes it easy to tell when clothes are freshly cleaned, but no more than that.

My favorite brand of dryer sheet changed everything about their product and I don't care for the scent of their reformulated product. It smelled like rancid old lady perfume. And we all know how much we want our freshly laundered clothing to smell like Great Aunt Mildred. I had to find a new dryer sheet that soften, won't leave a white residue in the dryer and on our clothes, that smell like fresh clean clothes. It's harder than you think!After trying out 6 new dryer sheets I have my favorites. Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Dyer Sheets are really nice. The scent is not subtle when you open the box, but don't worry it's very mild on laundered clothing. Each sheet is perforated so you can tear them in half before being placed in the dryer. This is to prevent them from clogging your dryer vent. It's a safety issue, just tear them in half and chuck it into the dryer. Or use half of the Basil scented sheet and half of another Mrs. Meyer's dryer sheet to create your own scent. These sheets are compostable so rather than throwing them away just chuck them into your compost pile or save them for a friend that composts.Basil might sound like an odd scent for dryer sheets but it's a very pleasant, clean scent. Thankfully I wasn't met with the cloud of Great Aunt Mildred perfume when I took my clothes out of the dryer. I'm thrilled that these dryer sheets smell clean, soften clothes really well, eliminate static and they don't leave a white residue inside my dryer.I have been using Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products for 12 years. I can't believe I waited so long to use their dryer sheets! Try them, you just might fall in love with them like I have. And if you're new to Mrs. Meyer's products, I recommend starting with their multi purpose spray. It's easily my #1 product, gets used daily, and has never failed to everything from kitchen to bathrooms and works great when detailing cars. Seriously good stuff.I have not been paid for my opinion. Are these great or what? Smell awesome m, needed a break from everything smelling like lavender and found these. Honeysuckle is sweet and fun. Stay classy!

Too strong for me but it did make my whole kitchen smell like lavender. Would be good for a bad smelling room.

Great value

The smell alone is awesome and after you finish drying your clothes, it feels like hard paper in the dryer, which to me makes it easier to dispose.

Good dryer sheets that are not irritating to the skin at all, smell really good , especially if you apprwciate the rest of the lavender line and have had no problems with my newborn.
