My vet recommended these for my older dog. Did see a slight difference after about 30 days. She seemed to have a little more pep in her step. Worth a try

Thanks to the recommendation of a vet, I've been using the Cosequin DS with my dogs for many years now and would swear by it. I recently took in a senior Labrador Retriever that has arthritis in his hind end and after 7 weeks so far, he's moving much more easily and seems to be able to walk much further without discomfort. Also when my aging Cocker Spaniel developed arthritis and bursitis in one shoulder this seemed to keep him going further, longer. In my opinion this has been a fantastic product and I will continue to use it with all my dogs.

Our old bull mastiff has hip dysplasia and was unable to use his right hind leg. Within a month of using this product, he's able to put weight on that paw, is much happier and more active. We also have an old Sheltie whose hind joints made it difficult for him to get up. Within a month he is much better able to get up, and is happier and actually running around a bit. Works! As a puppy my lhasa/shih tzu mix was born with malformed hip joints. There was an audible "click" when he walked, but after 2 months on Cosequin DS, recommended by specialist and my vet, it went away. This isn't a cure but it definitely worked to help the joint be more lubricated. This is a commitment though, he has been taken it for 6 years now.
