Got these for my cats and dogs. Attach them to a corner of a wall or flat and they scratch themselves. Also helps with knots and shedding.

I volunteer at a horse rescue and saw these scratching pads and thought I would try them. The mini horses are all scratching like crazy. I will say I thought the pad would be wonderful for our horses since they are pretty thick and have a nice nubby texture. They also are flexible and can be installed around corners which provides different areas for the horse to scratch. They have not been a popular as the brush scratchers also being sold. The quality is good and the pads have reinforced areas on the 4 corners where the drill hole go. I will say we did have a couple locations where the pads had to be rehung. We purchased washers for all the screws and in addition to the 4 corners added more screws/washers on the sides. They work better now not but are still not used as often as brushes. These pads provide a large surface area for scratching. You do need wood to screw into. If you have a wide diameter post in your pen this could work but a smaller fence post will not be big enough and the pad will overlap. Two pads per order is good.

Well I put em up and they tore them down. I think I’ll just go with an old school doormat as they’re much stronger….. as soon as they rub on them the little screws can’t hold it….. Not impressed, save your money and find the doormat as it’ll be thicker and stronger! 👎

The mats did not stay on, they would just pop out over the screws since it is rubber. Would not buy.
