Lapsang Souchong (Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong) is an excellent black tea with a history over 400 years. We can even call it the originator of black tea. Xingcun Village used to be the planting centre of Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong. Accordingly, Lapsang Souchong was also called “Xingcun Souchong” in history. In 1970s it has been spread to European and North-America. However, due to the frequent wars, the numbers of production decreased gradually, and almost disappeared in 1949. Well worth the price
This is very good tea, and I shall buy it again. It's a robust Lapsang Souchong that's not too smoky to overpower the flavor of the tea. The canister is well-designed. I blend it with equal parts of a fragrant Ceylon for my breakfast pot. Elegant.

The tea is a very good Black Tea, However it does not have the smoky flavor and aroma of other Lapsang Souchong teas Ihave tried . I will keep it but will try another brand .

So disappointing
I opened the Lapsang Souchong canister ready to get a wonderful smell of campfire and got kool aid instead. This tea is the worst excuse for Lapsang Suchong I have ever purchased.

Not smoky
I’m not sure what tea this actually is but it is not smoky like typical Lapsang - either they put the wrong tea in the tin or labeled wrong or it’s just not smoky like it should be - it actually smells more like golden monkey tea. Very disappointed it’s not smoky.

Not what I expected, a big disappointment for the price.
This tea did not have the smokey pine smell or flavor of other Lapsang Souchong teas that my Granddaughter and I have tried. We were both very disappointed. The tea is a nice black tea and I will use it but not the aroma or taste of a quality Lapsang Souchong tea.

Neutered Tea
This tastes and smells like a very bland American or British black tea and carries no resemblance to a good strong aromatic lapsang souchong tea.

As expected
its smokiness is very slight. I've had an authentic Lapsang Souchong in a tea shop in China. That tea, Zhengshan Xiaozhong Tedeng was so incredibly delicious that I looked for many chinese tea shops in the UK but couldn't find it.I am not sure this is exactly the same kind, but the flavour and aroma are very similar and I enjoy every cup.

Very disappointing
Ok as a tea but nothing like Lapsang Souchong. Zero smokiness. If you want that smoky flavour, do not buy this product.
