Brilliant
I wasn't completely sure when searching the many Oximeters on Amazon but liked the look of this one and after hours of research decided to go for it.There are cheaper ones, there are more expensive ones but this one is fairly priced for a colour screen and surpasses my expectations.Firstly, it looks much nicer than the picture, the picture isn't bad but doesn't really do it justice, it's much smaller than I thought which is great.Unfortunately I have been in and out of hospital over the last few weeks which is one of the reasons for my purchase but gave me a great chance to test it against hospital equipment. I can say it was near on identical every time the nurses took my stats give or take +/- 1 beat so I have great confidence when I am out and about that if I need to take a reading it is giving me the correct information. It does include a lanyard to hang this around your neck which I have to be honest would look pretty silly hanging round your neck walking down the high street but it does give you something to hold onto to ensure you don't drop it when using it and taking it out your bag or purse. All in all I am over the moon with this Oximeter and if you just want to keep an eye on pulse and Oxygen levels then it does the job perfectly.

Stuck trying to choose a pulseox? This is the one you want, trust me, it's saved my life.
I bought this over 2 years ago - I'm now buying it again as it's been worn out from exhaustive use.I use it to keep an eye on my asthma. Having gone through many, many pulse oximeter devices I can conclude that this is by far the most accurate one. The readings it gives are consistent with itself and with much more advanced hospital equipment. The information this little device has given me has saved my life several times. O2 and HR are almost pinpoint accurate. The waveform can even catch premature ventricular contractions (PVCs/ectopic/skipped heartbeats) accurately. If you're thinking about buying a pulse oximeter but have no idea which to choose - this is the one. Trust me.

Pleased with it
I bought this mainly on the strength of the other reviews. As another reviewer said, the trace (the graph along below the numbers in the main picture) is very useful in helping you make sure you've got it on properly and saves quite a lot of time. Even if you don't choose this one, I'd say definitely get one with this feature. Why not 5 stars? Well, an included case would be good as this is very much a portable instrument. Also, there are six different display modes - however, being picky, the device doesn't remember which you were using last time, so you have to cycle through them if you want a different one. Another issue with the display modes is that although you can invert the display to save having to read it upside down, you can't have the trace showing when it's inverted. That said, I'd certainly recommend it, as these are relatively minor niggles.

Tested on 2 people, inconsistent readings, sometimes not working at all
Bought for my husband and myself. It looks good and is simple to use but its execution of the job it is meant to do is very poor. First check was my oxygen and pulse rate, which seemed fine. Next was my husband - it detected nothing. We checked the leaflet but he had none of the issues listed as potentially causing a problem. So we checked mine again. It was fine. After quite a long time and several attempts, it finally read his too.Next day we tried again after exercise. We both showed good steady strong pulses on our own heart strap monitors. This time the oximeter didn't read his at all and mine was erratic - my oxygen was 84%! Tried again after 1 minute and it was 97%, after taking a minute or two to read anything at all. Five minutes later, to test the oximeter I took my readings again and it said 81%, then jumped to 93%. Due to recent exercise tests I did with a doctor I know I do not have any oxygen level issues at all, so there is no reason for those readings. In summary, I found its performance on myself was too inconsistent - it needed more than one attempt to come close to something correct, and on my husband it only ever worked once out of 10 separate attempts. We followed the instructions carefully and I am used to using this sort of equipment. I am now in the process of returning it. I couldn't recommend this product.

High Quality
I am a GP and wanted an oximeter that would work on children, which this does very well. So far I have used it as young as 1 year, when I had to use the child's thumb to get a reading of 97% (it gave 95 on a finger). A major problem with older devices has been patients coming in from the outside, who still have cold fingers. Older/cheaper devices may not be able to get a reading on cold fingers, but so far this one has not failed, and the pulse trace confirms that it is recording accurately.

Just the Job
I needed one of these to accurately monitor my blood oxygen levels and this was the third choice (i actually took the model number of my doctors to find it) and it is fantastic and extremely accurate. the screen is very clear and it monitors my heartbeat perfectly as well.

Sturdy and Accurate
This is a well built sturdy oximeter. The pulse reading is very accurate as I've checked it against both a kardia ecg and counted pulse. The SpO2 has occasionally given readouts which went up and down by as much as 8 units. For this reason reason I've deducted one star. Allowing it to turn off and taking another reading a few minutes later resolves the problem. The reading is the same as my doctors. One of the reviews I read said that there was no case with it. This has apparently been heeded as I got a strong canvas type case with mine with a belt loop and a D ring for the enclosed lanyard. The pulse wave shows that the oximeter is reading your pulse but it is not a heart trace, like an ecg. It doesn't have that kind of detail. When the display is rotated there is a bar graph display of your pulse, instead of the wave, and it does the same thing.Overall I'm happy with it.

Einfache Handhabung
