Sad funny and brilliant

Loved this film - easy to watch - not challenging, no violence, or gore . . . A real storyline - well acted.

Lost my original copy so very pleased to have replaced it for such a good price! Sam x

I rented this film as it was a favourite of mine and wanted to watch it again with my daughter. I need subtitles nowadays and so checked before purchasing. Sadly the subtitles were out of sync by about 6 seconds, making understanding the dialogue very difficult. Shame, because the film was as cute as I remembered it but marred this time. This has happened in the past and once subtitles were even advertised but didn’t appear. It’s tiresome Amazon. I could complain and get a refund, but quite frankly it’s such a laborious process I can’t be arsed. Netflix have subtitles on every film, why doesn’t Amazon Prime? And when you do, why does it always go out of sync. Sort it out or you’re making your films unobtainable to those with hearing problems.

We really enjoyed this film as our Friday night film. Cher is brilliant!

It is 30 years since we watched this movie. It is still as relevant now as it was then. A daughter's difficult relationship with a mother, still acting like a teenager in many ways. Watching this made us realise how the quality of modern films has slipped so far. Funny and moving. Delightful.

I discovered this gem fairly recently. The story is set in the 1960s and it’s about a wayward mother and her two daughters trying to settle down in a small Massachusetts town. Cher, Winona Ryder and Bob Hoskins give excellent performances and the chemistry between all the characters works like magic.

Love this film, reminds me of my youth!

una película que tenia tiempo buscando y que en otros sitios es sumamente cara, la conseguí con amazon por un excelente precio y resulta ser mejor de lo que dice la descripción, ya que también cuenta con audio en español y no solo subtitulos, una excelente opción, no la desaprovechen!
