Go anywhere
Haven't played it for a couple of months but required little to no tuning. Being carbon fibre there's less worry in environment it's stored in.The neck is nice and slim and a very comfortable grip, the inboard effects produce a reasonable good quality tooI was stunned at how good the tone and sustain is.It's only the aesthetics which let this guitar down.

Should be great, actually useless
The guitar itself is a beautiful and robust object with a good sound, in a decent case, with a charging cable and plectrums. The built-in electronic unit, however, seems more like a prototype knocked up by a Raspberry Pi hobbyist. The guitar, once connected to wifi, should present a QR code to be scanned by an app on one's phone. Ours would not show a QR code, preventing any further use.As a prestige product, the guitar should be tested before leaving the factory: this fault would be apparent in two minutes. Many online have complained of this fault, so it should be signposted on the Lava website by now, but it is not.The solution offered (by email) is a replacement part that may take a month to arrive, and by then it might be too late to return the product. It is not clear if a failed repair, or damage caused by the attempt, would be covered by warranty, or would instead invalidate any warranty. The repair itself is complex and requires great dexterity, particularly inside the guitar: this should not be a customer's responsibility. As part of the repair, a tiny and obstructed reset button must be pressed inside the guitar, where it can't be seen, which is all but impossible. The guitar, although third generation, has not been designed for easy repair, and the placement and form of the reset button in particular is bewilderingly stupid. We would not consider buying a Lava again unless we first saw it working. This would necessarily be in a shop, which would be unlikely to match online prices.Lava have shot themselves in the foot with this lamentable procession of unforced errors.
