top quality, quiet, and an easy install.
I bought this item "like new, used" for $193. description said damaged box. The unit was undamaged, and had never been installed. All the hardware was in unopened plastic bags, and the unit itself still had the dishwasher plug installed and stickers attached. It was a very easy install, but is a lot heavier than the old contractor grade disposal it replaced. The unit has some wiggle room, once locked in, to get it perfectly aligned. It snapped into place securely, and is very quiet for a garbage disposal. It is powerful and handles most anything you throw into it. I really like the guts are all stainless steel. It should last a long time.

Super Quiet and Grinds Quickly A Must Buy...
I Upgraded from a 1/2 HP basic InSinkErator to this 1 HP Evolution model......There is night and day improvements in the Evolution 1 HP and so well worth the extra cost!So much quieter and chops up scraps quickly and very fine with little to no effort. The previous basic 1/2 hp model would make a huge amount of noise and took forever to chop even something simple like a banana peel.See pics for comparison of the 2 units along with the final installation of my new 1 HP Evolution InSinkErator.Installation was a simple job with minimal tools and instructions were very well done. It's so effortless and quiet you'll find yourself looking for things to grind up as it's kind of fun! LOL!A must buy IMHO......so worth the cost!

Powerful and Quiet!
A really quiet and powerful motor, works as advertised. I tried it to dispose of a whole chicken (bones) worked really fast without water/sink backing up a little. Everything just goes straight down the drain. Love It!

Amazingly Quiet
The only downside is that the unit takes up slightly more space than the low end models, but that soundproofing insulation it is definitely worth it. I am moderately handy and the disposer was relatively simple to install. The big box stores' price was $20-$30 higher and they charge $180-$280 for someone to install it. Contrary to what one review said, this disposer makes very little sound. The guy who claims it's loud probably has the sink poorly attached to the counter and the mounting hardware between the sink and unit not properly tightened. That rattling can amplify vibrations greatly. Ours just has a gentle purr, and my wife LOVES that! As for all those 1 star reviews based on not having a power cable included, some people just didn't take time to read the details. This disposer is heavy duty and comes with the required hardware to install hardwired in new construction. It is the kind of quality you would expect to find in a new custom home. That being said, if you are upgrading from a basic model that plugs in and simply want to plug the new unit into an outlet rather than hard wiring it, you can do so by purchasing the standard 3-prong power cord. Think of it this way, if the company included that power cord with each unit, the price would be $20 higher and the majority of buyers would be throwing away a perfectly good proprietary cord and wasting copper, which is a semi-precious natural resource. So, it is a good thing that you can purchase the cord as an option, and get the unit by itself at a lower price. It pays to read details before you make your purchase.

Works great but tough to install in tight spaces
This disposal replaced a 20 year old Badger5. It is really smooth and quiet! Fast grinder, too.It has the same connection system as the old one, which meant we did not have to replace the sink parts. Installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. Hardwiring adapter is straightforward. The downside is it is wide and heavy. This made it very difficult to get into position and lined up with the existing flange threads. Our sink has a post between the cabinet doors underneath it that blocks access making the opening very narrow and awkward to reach in. It took me several tries to lift it in and line it up from a seated position on the floor. The rubber grip areas on the sides of the disposal were a welcome feature.Once installed, the fit is secure and vibration is minimal. Connects easily to the dishwasher and plumbing. Really like the vibration-absorbing connector for the drainpipe.

Far Inferior to 2020 ISE Evolution Excel. Got rid of it at 6 weeks!
We replaced a 2020 ISE Evolution Excel because it was too loud and needed resetting . This "Advanced Series" unit is quiet BUT is far inferior in 3 ways:1. Will NOT grind some items AT ALL ! - grape vines after you pick off the grapes, egg plant tops, etc.2. Very slow3. The Insinkerator rubber splash guard constantly gets clogged with food cuttings, water backs up and you have to remove it to push down food , re-insert, then run again. My wife was constantly running it with no splash guard.I e-mailed customer assistance. They told me that the new design creates smaller particles that are less likely to clog the drain and perhaps I could still find an old Insinkerator Excel somewhere ( discontinued model). In frustration we replaced this 6 week old unit ( beyond return window) with a Frigidaire 1.25 hp unit > WAY BETTER in all respects.

worth every penny
easy to install; i was able to reuse the existing mount from the old one; it took about 10 minutes to swap out and add the connections; all the parts fit and the operation is as expected; this item is worth the money.

Great Product. Horrible Installation Process.
Great once installed. Quiet. Powerful. My only negative comment, which costs this product a rating star, is that this product is as physically difficult to install as similar products 50 years ago. Come on, InSinkErator, show a little innovation and put some effort in design-for-installation and patent your ideas, and you will totally blow away your competitors!
