Thankfully completely tasteless, no nasty mintiness (I hate mint).It's so fine it dissolves super-fast and the old man for whom I'm a carer gets super-fast resolution to his indigestion (I also mix in a teaspoon of Bicarb). Much better and cheaper than tablets. I have a fine weighing scale down to 1/100 of a gram which helps, as 5 tablets of 500mg of calcium carbonate is easy enough, but 2.5g of this stuff is actually very little and you don't want to be whacking your kidneys with too much.

Great way of getting a good dose of calcium and also the powder is really easy to dissolve in water with no aftertaste.

Great for intended use. I personally use it for my aquariums and plants, and it has been satisfactory so far. I have 8 aquariums and still over half the container left. Lasts for a long time and would definitely recommend, AND buy again.

This product is no doubt good for your health, but ideal for freshwater aquarium. Due to the purity, a good level of KH and GH can be achieved without raising PH drastically. Unlike sodium bicarbonate, this product provides some GH or soft lime and can be successfully combined with aquarium salt for freshwater (sodium chloride) and only raise PH slightly and KH maintaining truly soft water without the use of tannins or acids. Calcium carbonate doesn’t seem to be available for aquatic use, only sodium bicarbonate. Making this product very useful indeed.

I bought this as a replacement for a prescription tablet product which contained -- as well as the required calcium carbonate -- sugar, sweetener, colouring and flavouring, none of which had any medical effect, of course. This is just pure calcium carbonate in a very fine powder form that can be stirred into water. I dose the same weight of calcium carbonate, and its much more pleasant to take than those adulterated tablets.

I put this in my gluten free bread and it not only adds nutritional value but adds to the velocity and softness of the loaf. I also add a teaspoon or so on my tomato plants in the summer months to prevent bottom rot. It is very effective!
