Tested Accurate: Well Made!
Short version: great calipers at a great price. Tested as accurate as Mitutoyo and Fowler on calibrated grade A gauge blocks.Long version: so I'm an engineering student, working in a machine shop. I wanted calipers that would easily work well with checking dimensions at the shop AND were capable of putting data into excel, SOLIDWORKS, etc.Our shop mainly uses calipers from Mitutoyo, a premium metrology brand. I didn't want to spend that kind of cash, so I decided to check these out.To be totally honest, the fit and finish are not as good (from the factory) on these iGaging calipers as on Mitutoyo or Fowler. I spent 5 mins gently stoning the surfaces on these to remove small burrs. I would, however, say that after 15 mins of cleaning, stoning, and oiling, these are every bit as smooth and consistent as Mitutoyo or Fowler calipers - at 1/3 the price. The iGaging box/case is also not as nice as the more expensive brands'. These calipers come with a generic box with a generic, glued-in foam cutout. The cutout is designed for another caliper, and doesn't fit this caliper very well. But did you really care about the box?I tested the inside and outside (pictured) measuring jaws, the step measuring surface (pictured), and the depth rod (pictured) for accuracy against certified gauge blocks of various sizes (as high as 4", about 100mm) from Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharpe. The results were excellent: these iGaging calipers were generally dead on, and never had an accuracy error greater than .0005", which is the resolution of their precision. These calipers perform well within the specifications they are certified to (+-.001" accuracy over their 6" (150mm) length, same as any DIN 862 certified calipers) and are comparable in accuracy to the best calipers on the market.I did notice that the measurement takes longer to stabilize on these iGaging calipers than the Mitutoyos - you need to wait about a full second for the measurement to stabilize to an accurate reading. It's a minor quibble, though. These calipers are significantly larger than the other calipers in the shop (pictured). However, the big and clear display makes that size worthwhile, in my opinion. Even the fractional units are easy to read (pictured). The battery is stored in an o-ring sealed sliding battery tray which doesn't require a screw to remove. The Bluetooth connectivity works well. 30 seconds of reading the manual, and I had these calipers hooked up to my phone and entering data into Google sheets. The Bluetooth connectivity works as a Bluetooth keyboard, which sends the measured value and then presses enter, automatically. This is great for excel, and OK for CAD. Depending on the program, you may wish it didn't hit enter automatically. The Bluetooth remains connected even when the calipers are off, which is somewhat bizarre. I think iGaging was expecting people to turn off the display frequently to save battery, and didn't want users to constantly need to wait to reconnect when turning the calipers back on?These calipers also do not shut off automatically. I haven't had these long enough to say how long the battery lasts, but iGaging did include an extra battery, which was nice to see.All in all, these are excellent. Frankly, the value is outstanding. If you're thinking of stepping up from $20 harbor freight calipers, you'll be impressed. If you're used to Mitutoyo calipers, I doubt you'd ever have a complaint.Highly recommend.

High quality calipers
The calipers are durable and accurate. I like them better than my other precision calipers because I am getting a better reading from the depth measurement. I attribute this to the solid construction of the calipers. The bluetooth feature allows me to log my measurements at about twice the pace of manual entry. The calipers connect to my Windows laptop and my Linux laptop. The data entry was faster and consistent compared to my Linux laptop. With my Linux laptop, I have to wait a little longer after I hit the data button and sometimes the entry doesn't go in the first try. So, I may have to hit the data button an extra 1 to 5 times before it shows up in the spreadsheet. This happens about 20% of the time. Even so, I am still more productive than hand entering the measurements. I have the Linux laptop hooked up to monitors and have the lid closed. This may be interfering with the bluetooth signal as compared to the Windows laptop where I have the lid open.Overall, I am very happy with the product.

Money Well Spent
IGaging has always been known for producing high-quality tools at affordable prices, and their calipers are no exception. The calipers arrived already calibrated and ready for use. I found it easy to connect them to my computer and start inspecting parts and entering data into my spreadsheets. The download button is a good size and easy to activate during inspection. These calipers have a strong signal, and I have no issues collecting data from over 8 feet away from my computer.

Quality at a budget
I do not have any gauging blocks to test it, but it has proven to be accurate enough for my needs so far. This caliper comes with a certificate and calibration report so you know that it has been tested before being sold, which is quite important with precision measuring equipment. My only only complaint is that the Bluetooth has a long delay from pressing the button and inputting, but the value far outweighs this, as it would cost more than $100 to get a caliper and data cable. One more thing of note, the recessed button next to the indicator light is for resetting the position of absolute zero. You have to press and hold it in order to reset it. The instructions do not seem to mention this.

Blind Friendly Accessible Calipers
As a blind user these calipers are great. It connects directly to my phone and allow me to take quick measurements and save them for later without reading error. The BEST and frankly only worthwhile calipers if you are blind or visually impaired end of story.Otherwise, bluetooth connectivity and the record button are very nice. It takes about 30 seconds to connect so don’t be in a huge hurry.

Great product and value!
I have 3 measurement products from iGaging and love them all. I've had them for only 2 months, use them several times a week, and they've been completely reliable so far. When comparing them to each other and to other very accurate products, they've been right on. They ship with a certificate asserting NIST traceability - I don't know how to confirm that, but because of their repeatability and correlation with other accurate products, I'm inclined to believe the traceability is genuine.

Waste of money!
When using this caliper, regardless of the distance measured, the caliper never returned to "0" zero. Ultimately I waste a lot of time resetting the device to zero for every measurement I make. The more times used after being zeroed the further off it becomes thus making all measurements especially incremental untrsted. Consequently, I stopped bothering and end up reaching for my old $10 dollar Harbor Freight Tool calipers as they always returns to zero. Too late to get a return this time but if I could I'd surely return these and use the money toward a set that actually work. ---Bluetooth is cool and all, but if one can't trust the data, these are useless. ---
