Secret of the Princess Paperback – 14 Feb. 2017

This standalone tale from Milk Morinaga is the perfect illustration of just why she is the Queen of Yuri. Almost a cut-down 'Girlfriends', the story rolls off a ludicrously audacious premise: when star school athlete Nagisa accidentally smashes an expensive vase, the only witness is the introverted Miu, who dreams of meeting her ideal 'prince'. Miu subsequently blackmails Nagisa into going on a series of mock dates with her, so she can be ready for when her 'true love' comes along. But gradually the line between mock and real dates begins to blur, as both girls realise that true love may be lurking extremely close to home. Morinaga takes this absurd concept and makes it work perfectly, thanks to her immaculate sense of character and pacing, not to mention her marvellously understated sense of eroticism. If you can get through it without weeping tears of joy, you may not be entirely human.

my all time favourite! I love miu and fujiwara and its like an old fashioned fairy tale brought into a modern yuri volume. the artwork is beautiful and i'm always looking for an excuse to read it again :)
