Orioles Love This Feeder
We tried several oriole feeders before finding this one. It is well made with plenty of room for both the oranges and the glass dishes. My wife uses the orange halves to hold the grape jelly and uses the glass dishes for her homemade grape syrup (1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup grape jelly, 1/2 cup water and fresh squeezed orange juice simmered to dissolve the sugar and jelly). The orange roof is sufficiently high so the orioles can easily land on it. My wife also has a nearby landing perch as some of the orioles like to start there before hopping on the feeder.

Well made!
I bought this for my mother for Christmas and she put it out in March. We don’t get a lot of Orioles, at our place in Idaho, however last year we got one who kept trying to drink out of our hummingbird feeders. So I thought she could maybe succeed with this feeder in attracting more Orioles. I was about to say this things a bust when about a week ago, late May, an oriole flew by and checked it out. Now several times a day we get at least one male/female oriole pair stopping by to eat. We fill one bowl with hummingbird food, the other bowl with jelly topped with dried mealworms, and oranges on the fruit things. Overwhelmingly they eat the jelly/mealworm combo. By the way, we just use jelly we have here so it’s eaten chokecherry jelly and some other random ones. It doesn’t seem to care about the flavor. We have a ton of other varieties of birds around too so I’ve seen magpies and wood house scrub jays eating from the feeder too. In terms of durability this feeder is top notch. It is extremely sturdy and has held up wonderfully in 40+ mph wind with minimal swinging. The bowls are nice and hefty too. I initially thought this was overpriced but after everything considered I think it’s a fair price and well worth it to have the Orioles!!

Awesome feeder
I really like this oriole feeder. It is probably the best made feeder I’ve ever purchased, and the most expensive. But you get what you pay for and this one is definitely going to last! It’s heavy and not going to blow around, or blow off the shepherds hook in the wind. It doesn’t have the standard “S” hook that many feeders come with. It has an eye hook that the shepherds hook fits through. It’s not going to blow off or be pulled off by raccoons or any other pesky critters trying to get to it.The dome is made out of metal which is more durable than the plastic ones I’ve had, and is large enough to protect the feeding area. That makes it nice, especially for the jelly which gets all watered down in the rain if not protected. The glass cups are anchor hocking desert dishes so if one breaks, which shouldn’t be too easy to do given how durable anchor hocking glass is, it should be easily replaceable. What a surprise, anchor hocking glass in a bird feeder! They’re quite large given they are desert cups so they hold a lot of jelly. I have a lot of orioles that come to my feeder and I always had to fill the smaller cups multiple times a day. I won’t have to do that with this one.I like that the oranges sit upright on the platform. When the oranges are in a vertical position the birds tend to pull them off and they fall to the ground. That doesn’t happen when the oranges sit upright. That all said, I really don’t like the design of the legs that hold the oranges. They are rather large and surprisingly, flat on the ends with no points to push through the oranges. I generally buy mandarins to put on the feeder but will need to use full size oranges on this one just to keep from destroying the little mandarins. And you definitely have to make starter slots in the oranges to push them onto the pegs or you end up destroying the orange. I did deduct one star for this although it was by no means a deal breaker.Still, overall I love this feeder and find it to be very well made and durable enough to last for many years. The raccoons tend to attack my feeders and have destroyed several of them. They’ll have a tough time destroying this one (plus I did move it to make it more difficult for them to get to).If you’re looking for a feeder that is going to last, you’ve found it. Just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

A Feeder That Will Last
I was pretty happy when this thing finally arrived. I noticed right away that it was much larger than I anticipated and was somewhat weighty. The orioles in my yard were enthusiastic about the orange plastic feeder I had initially put out, but that one got broken by the raccoons fairly quickly. This feeder, however, is much more sturdy than the plastic thing. I find it attractive, practical, and very well made. The little bowls are glass, so you have to be careful when its time to clean (every other day with the jelly and oranges). And the bowls are large and deep. I didn't get enough orioles to warrant filling the bowls all the way up with jelly, so I filled them with about 2 tablespoons each time. I filled the other bowl with meal worms. Also - I found it easier to carve out a small hole on each end of the oranges to mount them on the spikes more easily. The spikes are not at all sharp, which is a good thing lest you puncture a hand trying to place the oranges.Lastly - the orange color on this feeder is just right. It hasn't faded in the hot New Mexico sun. I hung this feeder along with another oriole feeder from a large two-limbed shepherd's hook. I attached some cheap fake bright orange flowers from Hobby Lobby just to make sure the orioles could see it when flying over. It's late August and I'm still seeing orioles every day.

Love this feeder
I've had a few different oriole feeders, and this one is the best. It's sturdy PVC and metal so it doesn't warp like the cheap plastic feeders, and the metal baffle keeps the rain off and shields the birds from predators. I'll have 5-6 orioles at a time bickering over jelly and oranges, with more queued up for their turn at the goodies.
