cheap & effective & easy!
Smart/inexpensive/easy solution to both childproof a sliding door & burglar proof it (as well as any burglar proofing would do as ultimately anyone can break a window to enter)...but a good deterrent & most importantly child safety & took all of 10 seconds to install...let it sit a few days for sticky adhesive to strengthen up, then done!

Keeps the kids from getting out
Our toddler has learned how to open to sliding door even with multiple locks on it. This has blocked him gaining access to the back porch/yard without an adult to help. Functions perfect and great for child safety. Great value for the money and such a simple but effective concept.

Perfect for childproofing
Got this to baby proof our sliding door in the patio after my 2 year old learned to open the door and tried to make the great escape with the family dog, nearly giving me a heart attack. Came quickly and works perfectly, no matter how many times my son tries to unlock the sliding door and open it, it won't budge. It was also every easy and quick to install.

Just buy it
I have a really old sliding door that for some reason is wicked off the tracks & us installed completely wrong so after spending 100+ trying to get a locking handle to work & other things I ordered this & I’m so happy. It’s so sturdy & even yanking on it, it won’t budge. If your looking for an easy way to reduce break ins without a doubt buy this product. It’s awesome & worth the money.

Works really well, but MAKE SURE YOU LET THE ADHESIVE CURE
The media could not be loaded. So I originally installed this wrong 4 years ago because I was like, who needs instructions, and then I did it wrong. But!! It still worked! After 4 years of slamming the door into it by about an inch every time we opened the sliding door but forgot it was locked it eventually broke. I can’t stress enough that I did it the wrong direction and it still functioned great. I don’t think anyone ever tried to break in but I can tell you from experience that no one was coming in or out of that door if you didn’t unlock the burglar bar first. But I needed to replace it. So we installed a new one (the correct way) and it’s snug, installation went great, looks amazing. I tried it out and when locked the door doesn’t budge. Perfect. So I went to show my partner and this is where I messed up. Y’all need to take that adhesive warning seriously. Command strips and stuff like that have them too and I never paid attention, which is on me. Give it the time it needs to fully adhere to the glass. when I went to show my partner how snug the door is now that the bar is properly installed, I hadn’t waited long enough and the bar fell off and into the gap between the 2 sliding doors. We can’t get it out. The door will open mostly but It won’t close all the way. I broke a chopstick, bent a butter knife and jammed my finger trying to get it out. We accidentally knocked the door slightly off track trying to pull it to give us more room to get it out, that didn’t work. We tried to take the doors out of the door frame but the bolts are really stuck in there because this is a really old apartment. My landlord has to come today to try and take my doors off to get this stupid thing out of there. We were up most of the night trying to fix this.TLDR; Works perfect! Minus one star because when user error strikes a little bit, the result is incredibly irritating and honestly does the opposite of intended, as the door won’t close, or lock, but can open most of the way which is both inconvenient and possibly dangerous. We have to keep our cats in the living room with supervised bathroom breaks into the bedroom/bathroom because they can get through the gap, even though we tried to block it off. I know it’s my fault for not letting the adhesive cure for the full 48 hours or whatever but I didn’t think it would lead to this

Easy to install and help us feel secure.
I spent a while hunting for the best solution to keep our sliding doors more secure - especially with a toddler that likes to tinker. These were VERY easy to install, instructions were clear, and I mounted them high enough to be out of a child's reach. Two of these are recommended per door. We have one on each door and that seems to work, but yes - I'm sure two are better than one!

clear and doesn’t stand out
Great for windows and sliding doors. Especially when you have a pool right outside the door wall. Works Awesome!

Adhesive could be stronger, otherwise great functionality
Adhesive isn’t the greatest ):Followed instructions to the tee, gave it time to adhere and 1 of them fell off after 72 hrs and won’t stick again. The other one seems to fit perfectly and hasn’t moved a bit. Really unfortunate. The overall build is sturdy and super easy to use, the adhesive could definitely be stronger.
