Lifeproof FRĒ SERIES Waterproof Case for iPhone X (ONLY) - Retail Packaging - CHAKRA (ROSE/FUSION CORAL/ROYAL LILAC)

There are lots of things to say about this case. First and foremost are the things I hate about it. As a life proof user since the iPhone 4, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The screen protector is garbage, plain and simple. It pixelates the screen to the point where it’s very much noticeable. This is a huge flaw that almost makes it unusable. It’s 2018! Screens are better than ever! Why Lifeproof/Otterbox continue to use the same screen protector from 10 years ago is just mind-blowing to me. And it’s not a complaint that is new. This has always been the problem with Fre cases. For that reason, this case probably will not be my daily driver.Secondly, although my Spigen glass screen protector works with this case, you can tell it was not designed to be used with one. That being said, even with a glass screen protector, there is a gab between the case’s screen protector and your phone. In my experience, keeping in the pocket for about a day or so with regular usage makes that gap go away a bit as the air gets pushed out... but why the heck is this still a problem? It’s been a problem since the original fre case. It doesn’t make the case unless but from time to time I notice that some presses take slightly more pressure than if it was just the phone screen I was pressing on. And generally that makes sense considering there is an additional layer between your phone and the outside elements. This just frustrates me because instead of improving the cases over the years, lifeproof basically just opted to redesign them so the fit the new phones.As for the sound quality, this is where the case does do better than previous generations. And again, totally understandable since waterproof cases will always degrade the sound quality. The buttons are mushy to start but min my experience they do become more clicky and tactile with usage.The overall design and materials has not been changed at all over the previous generations. And that is my biggest problem with the brand and this product. Call quality is okay and only slight deminished. Wireless charging works fine which is a good thing considering continued usage of the charging port will eventually cause the port door to be damaged compromising the integrity of the case. This has happened to me on almost every lifeproof case I’ve owned after the iPhone 5.The case is slim and doesn’t add that much bulk. If anything, it makes the phone wider and slightly taller. But again, that’s been the same story with almost every lifeproof case ever.I got a pretty okay deal on it for around $45 but I know this retails for around $70-$80 in stores which is obscene if you ask me. It’s an okay case for a beach day, hanging by the pool, or on vacation, but to use this as a daily would drive me up a wall.My overall verdict is that, given the cost, there are other options that may be better out there. I haven’t tried the catalyst case yet but I hear it’s much Better in every way over the lifeproof. Lifeproof’s lack of innovation and attention to detail makes this case like a bad penny. It’s just the same case as always made to fit the new iPhones. And if the fre series was perfect, I’d say okay, this works. But they’re not perfect. They’ve needed improvement in terms of materials used and design for some time now, spanning multiple generations of phones.The fact that Lifeproof refuses to redesign their cases for a new devices makes me sad because I’ve been a loyal Lifeproof customer since they released the first case for the iPhone 4. Back then, when screen quality wasn’t that great, their cases were okay but still needed improvement.So basically, if you don’t care about screen quality, touch screen performance, and speaker quality and are buying this case strictly as a waterproofing tool, then by all means. But it’s very hard for me to recommend a product that has so many compromises for a premium price tag.Although it is hard to say that the case is totally unusable due to its flaws, it is easy to say that the flaws make you not want to use this case unless you absolutely have to! But don’t forget that Lifeproof doesn’t recommend taking the case off and putting it back on multiple times as the waterproofing seals wear each time you take it off or put it on.I will most likely be returning this case for the catalyst or something else. Options are kind of limited in terms of waterproof cases for bigger reputable brands but there are still options.Hope this helps out anyone on the fence.

Ok i’ve had this case since february 2019 and it’s the last month of 2020 and the case is still here doing it’s job. it’s been great and has survived so many AND I MEAN SOOOOOO MANY falls. Falls off my really tall bed, falls out of my backpack, falls on concrete out of my hands multiple times(i’m 5’5 for reference) and it hadn’t broken anywhere kindve. i drop my phone literally everyday and whenever i see it drop it not even phased because ik that the case does that good of a job.i actually had another life proof case naught from t-mobile along with my phone 3 years ago and it made me want to get the case in different colors.So what’s happening now and why i need a new case is because the upper volume button broke since the phone is so worn out and i had to put a replacement button in the hole because i’m waiting on a new case. Also the button that turns off the phone broke off the case as well but that’s fine because it got so worn down i had to push super hard with my nails to press them. Also the screen protector is lifted a bit at the top when you take the case off since it’s so worn but it seems fine. now the other volume button is about to break so i need a new case now because i’m going on a trip {in my favorite rocket ship ;)-} to dominican republic and need the waterproof case.Anyways the case has searches on the back and yes calls are altered(i have to put myself on speaker so people can hear me) but i don’t mind. I lost the little padding where the charger port is on the little flippy cap thing awhile ago but didn’t change much. also yes dust gets in if u always never close ur charger thingy like me.Last thing is i would say it’s waterproof because water always gets ok it and it’s fine also i’ve been in the water before for like a few seconds and it was good.

I consider myself unworthy of expensive technology, but my husband is a saint who just enables my poor financial choices in this matter. After replacing my screen twice from clumsy forays into bodies of water and within the last six months, I got smart and got a water proof case for my iPhone X. 🤦‍♀️ One of the FRĒ colors must have been discontinued, marked down and was like $7 more than the knock off brand I was considering. As soon as I received it, I submerged it (as per instructions and with no phone inside) for thirty minutes and the interior was perfectly dry afterwards.This case feels solid and easy to grasp. It’s not bulky, but it’s waterproof—so don’t expect it to feel naked! The color isn’t my first choice, but that is not the product’s fault and the colors are clean and appeal to that retro 80s vibe I see a lot these days. I dropped one star because of one issue in two parts. The charging door. Fault one: I used 90° chargers before and the door on the bottom isn’t big enough to accommodate that style of cable. (These cables are great for laying in bed and not killing your pathetic Apple cords in 6 weeks flat. Thankfully, we have spare cords.) Fault two: with some cord/block combinations I get phantom touch. This isn’t a problem when I remove the case, but when I’m borrowing aftermarket products at places other than my home I often cannot use the phone during charging and have been locked out of my phone once! Now, this inconvenience isn’t a big deal to me when I consider the benefits of this case, but some others may find this more of a drawback if they don’t absolutely need the waterproof qualities provided.I’ve not had another water incident, but I feel confident I will be safe. I’ve had a couple small drops (from the couch to the bamboo floors and from my lap into the lawn and from the bed to the carpet as I wrote this) and the case still looks brand new. A should-buy for YOUR clumsy person ;)

Very nice product with good quality. Although i did not have any problems till now i don't feel safe under water.

So far I really like it and everything works perfectly! When I first placed the phone into the case, I phoned my dad and realized that in the regular talk mode he was unable to hear me, but upon switching to speaker mode it worked perfectly (Telling me the poor sound was because of the case and not the reception)I took it out and re-placed it in the case and it did seem to fit better the second time which is weird because it’s a very tight fit to begin with, However this time all audio now works properly with the case and it is not different at all from not in the case. I have not had much experience with the waterproof feature but I did test it out briefly and it does work!If I had one negative comment it would be that the touchscreen corners are very minorly less effective its almost unnoticeable but I notice everything. Still as of right now I am incredibly satisfied with this product!

The main reason I bought this was to have a waterproof case for my phone. In that regard, it works. The case fits snugly and the port protector that you need to open and close to charge your phone provides a waterproof seal. The main reason that I couldn't give it more stars was the very poor quality of the material used for the screen protector. It scratches from contact with almost anything, and pretty noticablely too! Keys in your pocket, grain of sand rubbed, rough paper....you name it. I've had otterbox cases for years subject to a lot of abuse and the screen protector was pretty durable, but this one is very delicate so be warned.

I love the lifeproof products, all my I phones and ipads have their cases. However, I have to mark this latest one down a bit - normally would have given it 5 stars. The case is great, and as a case I cant fault it. However, it does seem to cause problems with the wireless charging capabilities. Lifeproof marketing blurb says it allows all iPhone x functions to operate correctly etc. etc. Well perhaps they should mention it causes issues with wireless charging!Apart from that, great product and would have got 5 stars.

Worked great , water resistant. I always go with lifeproof cases for my phones for the full coverage. This one amazingly enough was able to fit my glass screen protector. However I don’t recommend doing unless you don’t mind the minor unresponsive touch every now and then. Great for work
