These cases are awesome. Kept phones dry and completely usable during a float trip down the river. Tested out by submerging in water and they did not leak. They also do indeed float. Lanyard is sturdy allowing us to connect phones to tube handles and not worry about losing them. Also allows to take very clear pictures through the case without distorting the pictures.

I keep my phone in this case when I sail my small sailboat and I it has a lot going for it. The clasp is secure and watertight. The plastic covering the screen is hard enough not to get cut when I'm rough with it, i.e. climbing in the boat and sandwiching it between me and the side. It's pretty easy to use, even when wet since the case is designed to keep the plastic just off the screen - not sure about underwater yet. I'm a fan of the strength of the plastic loop on the top of the case as well, while it looks thin in the amazon picture, it has some depth so it's pretty solid. Some cases have flimsy attachment points and I've had to swim for a phone before. It is not capable of recognizing my face (I use an iphone XR contained in a second slim case without a screen protect) but I've never had a waterproof case that did so it's a hard thing to complain about.As advertised it floats quite readily. Using the edges of the case to contain the foam makes the case more streamlined than some and also protects the phone. There's some bulk to it's unavoidable in a floating case.Last, the strap made of really tough material, I have a slight concern that if I caught it on something it might strangle me climbing back into the boat. I will probably add a plastic buckle on the loop for that reason. The plastic hook that connects it to the phone is not as robust but is pretty much what I wanted/expected.I'd love some brighter colors but otherwise it's perfect for my needs.

This is an excellent water proof case:-much better quality than the cheaper ones (which we also bought)-this one FLOATS if you accidentally drop your phone in the water-the plastic does not significantly distort the image quality, in or out of the waterBUT...It's a bit too small for my google pixel 8 pro. It's not fit for the larger/newer gen of phones.The side/top padding, which is nice and thick, does block the front facing "selfie" camera. So all photos had to be from the back cameras.Neutral:Touch screen sensitivity is reduced (to be expected), and doesn't work at all under (sea) water. I think that has to do with the conductivity of the salt water, not the pouch itself. So taking pictures required raising the camera out of the water, starting a pic on a timer, and then going underwater to let the pic capture. This prevents spontaneous underwater pics. Not sure if any other waterproof pouch would do better though...

Works great. Easy to use. Looks good. Keeps the phone dry even under water. Can take pictures through it without blurring.

We are heading to an island so needless to say will be surrounded by water. I researched available options and found 2 that are marine grade and sized for my newer iPhone 15. Pelican has great reviews and because this was an older version it was reduced in price which I appreciate. This claims to be both waterproof and floats! This pouch is slightly padded with clear plastic to cover screen and camera lens. It opens and shuts easily allowing quick access and seals up nicely when closed. My iPhone fits snugly in this 7" pouch with it's case and screen protector on. It has a lanyard to secure it when carrying. I have full access to the touch screen, camera, and on and off buttons. You do have to press harder through the plastic but it is still very functional. Face recognition does not work but I can use my passcode. I have taken pictures which turned out great so I'm am very pleased and believe it will protect my phone should it fall in the water. This is an olive green. I prefer subdued colors and this one was reduced in price.

Hard to beat for the price. Easy to operate the phone and camera while it’s inside the bag. Protects from water, sand, etc. I have used these while fishing and on family vacations at the beach. Recently brought my iPhone snorkeling and got really great videos. I haven’t experienced any leaking or fogging. Chose these over cheaper no-name options because I’ve had great luck with Pelican products over the years.

It’s useful for keeping your stuff dry when you want to take it with you and not leave behind in your bag while you’re snorkeling. Or of course to keep dry while on a boat or getting wet.However in wanting to take pictures under water while snorkeling the second there’s some sort of humidity it gets foggy inside somehow. And impossible to wipe clean in order to continue taking not fuzzy foggy pictures under water. And the selfie window cuts off half the top of photos for iPhones - I had a 12 max pro.It just fit with my case on too and atleast I didn’t have to take my glass screen protector off too

I bought this to take white water rafting on my trip to Costa Rica. I was very happy with my purchase. It floats so I didn't worry about losing my phone in the river. It stayed nicely tucked under my life jacket on the boat and through the rapids and the lanyard held up. I was able to take pics easily through the case.Only cons I have: it's hard to take a selfie with the case on the lanyard around your neck...the phone is to close to your face and you can't get any background without taking it off. It was very humid where I was so that did cause a little bit of a film sometimes on the case which distorted my pics but I think any case would do that.Overall I would recommend...very sturdy case.

Kid uses these for he rowing lessons. Took one on a recent trip to the Carribean. Used it daily at beach and in the pool. This thing is completely water proof and will float in the water so it never sinks. I surprised as to how easy it was to operate the phone and see the screen. Took a lot of videos and pics and they are perfect as long as you keep the carmera window clean. Really large phones might be difficult to put in. Removing any phone case off your phone will help. I used a Samsung S24 with a slip case and it just fit. Wife has a really large 6.8" screen phone. Once the slip case was removed it fit. With the case forget it.

This product split right at the lanyard; I may have used it 5 times; waste of money! Shame on you Pelican for supporting this awful product!
