It was a good item but if you put it in a microwave that smells like food, it will smell like food for a long time. I ended up putting it into the washing machine because it smelled bad and realized that you can only wash the surface. And no, you can't take the cover off because there is no cover, the beans or rice or whatever the heating element is, is inside of the stuffed animal in a pouch. After washing it I also realized that it would take a LONG time to dry and it would probably end up molding, so I had to throw it away. Moral of the story, don't put it into a smelly microwave, just throw it in the dryer to warm it up.

This is super cute and my daughter likes that she can warm it up to put on her belly when she has cramps but It doesn't feel heavy enough for the soothing weight effect she was hoping for.
