Is a nice looking item, but the square where the towel hangs on is solid, so it’s hard to fit a large towel through it, as there’s only a small gap between towel holder and wall.

Design is all important. The everyday items we use tend to be designed in a certain way because that's the best design for them. This towel ring, sadly, leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion.Being square is fine – it keeps towels neatly folded and reduces puckering; having a stand-off that keeps wet towels away from the mounting surface is a good idea; and the fixing is relatively simple to use. But…✘ there is no articulation between the ring and the mount, resulting in more pressure being exerted on the coupling when towel is used.✘ the cross-section of the ring should be more rounded to allow towels to slide more readily as they are being used.That rigid, unyielding appearance make the towel holder far uglier that it appears in the listing's photos.
