It keeps it on your wrist.
This keeps your ice axe attached to your wrist, just like it states on the front of the packet. It's so comfy, you'd barely know it's there...just remember to take it off before you drive home.

Strong bit of rope.
Bought for a Petzl Glacier 68cm only it already has one! Now I have two! It does the job though. Decided not to return it but to keep as a gift/spare etc.If your ice axe doesn't come with one it's pretty much an essential.

Very hard to get on and off with gloves on
Leashes like these need to be quick on and quick off for use in the Scottish Weather, but having to tie a knot every time was slow especially with gloves on.Not up to the usual excellent standard of Petzl gear.
