The clockwork mechanism locked up after a couple of months. I've had a couple of Bobobird watches before, and they always fail after a while. They look good, but don't last.

We bought these as groomsmen gifts for our upcoming wedding. These are GORGEOUS and come in really nice packaging. They come with a beaded necklace (?), instruction manual, and little tool kit for adjusting the wristband. One thing to note is these are AUTOMATIC/Mechanical watches. As such, there is NO BATTERY. It relies entirely on the mechanical winding and movement during wear. Some of the ones we received looked like they weren’t working out of the box, but they just required a little winding to get started (instructions in manual). As well, the body is a little thicker than other watches because of the mechanics. But they are lovely watches

This is the second Bobo bird watch that I've bought for my partner and it's yet another hit outta the park..such a great gift. The skeleton style is amazing. I love that the back is clear so you can see the mechanism from the front and the back. Great durability and the weight seems to be nothing too heavy but adequate. He says it's super comfortable. Something to know; this has a wind up mechanism but honestly it's become a Godsend for my partner's anxiety. I told him that every time he winds it each day to allow that to be a time to come to the present and check in with himself and do some deep breathing.. We rush around so much as humans and the winding allows him to slow down and get in touch with what's here and now. I am a huge fan of Bobo bird. This probably won't be the last item I buy, i can pretty much guarantee that.I love that most of their watches have an engraving option. This one didn't......but the one we bought before it, did. I have been able to see how much my partner enjoys these "time pieces" and honestly I love that he enjoys them. He apparently gets compliments on his watch all of the time. The wood accents are amazing and intricate.. definitely a compliment getter. I have given these to him as both an eight year anniversary gift, and a ten year. I plan to be getting another one for him in the following years. He loves that this is one of the gifts he gets and it's something that you're not gonna see on everyone. It's something unique and special. Great value for the money and worth every single penny..

It's a beautiful watch; I love the wooden band and casing. The skeleton design allows a good view of the balance wheel and the spring as well as other moving parts. It's a real eye catcher, and mesmerizing to look at. NOTE: This is a mechanical watch, which is powered by a spring that must be wound up before it's first use and/or if it's not worn every day or if you're not an active individual! "Automatic" means that it will wind itself slowly when you move the arm with the watch on it. I recommend winding the stem clockwise a few turns each morning before putting it on. You can easily see the spiral spring to see when it's wound, and automatic (self-winding) watches can't be over-wound, so you won't ruin the watch by going too far. This will assure that the watch keeps good time regardless of how active you are. I'm disabled and old, so I'm not active enough for my arm movement to keep the watch wound up without giving it a few turns manually every day or two. Fortunately, I'm also old enough to remember when all watches had to be manually wound, so it's not a foreign concept to me. I only mentioned the previous because I frequently see complaints about this type of watch not keeping time properly from the start, and this is clearly from a lack of knowledge of mechanical watches, not from a defective product. All of that being said; I love this watch, and it's a stunning addition to my watch collection. Spending a few seconds every day or two winding it a little is a small price to pay for such a lovely and unique watch that will never need batteries. After several months of use it still works as good as new.
