I’ve used this brand for years. Here’s how best to use it
I’ve used this brand for years. Dodgy wrists. Knee. Ankle. Weirdly I always keep buying the purple pre cut ones. I’ve tried other colours as black and green and for some weird reason they don’t seem to stick as long??? Weird. Maybe it’s a fluke but purple always seems to work best for me so I’m sticking with it (no pun intended).Top tips for success...1) Shave, clean and dry the area properly for at least 30 mins. This helps it stick properly and you don’t scream when you pull it off a few days later.2) Cut strips into half if possible. When I’m dealing with my knee I cut them into two and round off the edges with a sharp pair of scissors. It helps them stick better and the tape lasts longer as you’re using less. You don’t always need to use the whole piece and sometimes when I do I feel more support when I overlap the layers. If you mess it up try again. Oh and don’t touch the sticky area as it won’t last as long.3) Watch YouTube. There are lots of videos on YouTube from physio etc on how to apply tape for knees, elbows and every joint in your body. Failing that I took some to a physiotherapist and asked them to apply it properly for my condition and I’ve copied it ever since.Don’t be put off everyone. Try it and let me know if I’m right by giving me a ‘helpful’. Hope it relieves your pain and discomfort as it has mine.

Peals off. Not sticky
I bought this because I thought it would be better quality than the cheap stuff in my local shop. I couldn't have been more wrong. It wasn't very sticky and wouldn't adhere to my skin. Then the bits that did would start to peal after a few minutes. Youtube videos had people saying it needs to be rubbed to create heat for best sticking results. I tried this also but didn't make a difference and even just made the ends curl up/roll up more. I did manage to get some to stick eventually but again it soon pealed. It is very expensive stuff for such low quality and if I were to use this every time I would only get about 3 uses out of the whole roll provided no strips fail to stick. I think sometimes expensive branding is a false economy.

Doesn't stick well, starts to peel quickly.
Really disappointed with this tape. I've been struggling with tibial tendonitis & have found kinesiology tape helpful. I bought this despite being more than double the price of tapes I've bought. I figured it was worth the price for the convience of pre cut straps, & was hoping the 4-7 day longevity would be true. Before applying I read all the instructions & watched YouTube videos to make sure I was doing it right and optimising the application. Despite that I wasted half the pack to get three straps on. They just kept peeling, Despite ensuring no tension on the anchors. The three straps I successfully got to stick are now peeling round the edges after 24hrs & 1 shower. They won't last past 48hrs, so I would have been way better off with the cheaper tape I've previously bought.Complete was of £15 for a product that doesn't do what's advertised.

Worth its weight in gold. I have no idea how or why it works, but this is amazing!
OK, I have no idea how or why this works. But I hurt my knee hill walking when I fell and twisted it.Since then my knee has been very painful after walking 10 miles in particular when going downhill.Having watched the video online, - I folded the tape - cut the corners off - stretched it to 80% and then let it go back to half (you will understand if you watch the video) but basically taped the knee using three strips.(I did shave my leg first, as the thought of the hairs pulling was worse than the leg pain)And I can't believe it.14 miles.Very steep downhills. Not a twinge of pain.So my review - worth its weight in gold.Incredible stuff.

not water resistant
although this tape works in helping with my wrist pain, I am not able to shower with it on. other people have said they can go a few days before changing the tape but i find as soon as it gets a little water on it, water soaks right through and the tape immediately stops being sticky. maybe other colours are better? i used the beige one. I have used the cotton KT tape before and actually find it more water resistant than the synthetic.

Love this!
This really helps with my aches and pains, having fibro, hypermobility and a degenerating spine I can stick it anywhere I need to give help and support. It comes with a little container that is brilliant for transport. this can hurt when pulling it off the skin but water or giving it a good rip off does the trick. I will be needed to get more soon, plus this colour matches my skin tone no one realises I'm wearing it and that's a massive plus, no more questions as to what or why I have it on

Not very adhesive
I have bought cheaper brands of KT tape in the past at stores such as joke bargains and had no issues with adhesive. Paid more as I wanted the pre-cut lengths. However, applied the tape last night as knee support following instructions. Already I have had to change one length and can feel the tape peeling off while currently in the gym. Doesn’t seem a good product and really disappointed.

Superior KT tape to the cheaper alternatives
I've found over the last few years that having a roll or two of some kinesiology tape is handy in your home medical kit. With a wealth of support online it really easy to get some immediate relief for all sorts of joint and soft tissue pain. I've used various options from Amazon, in the main they all work really well and are easy to apply/use.The difference with the KT Pro range is in its longevity in place and it's comfort. It easily last twice as long in place even through a bath! Plus I've never had any irritation with the KT adhesive, which I have had from other brands. I'll be using this from now on
