Gear Cables. Although unbranded, these are made by one of the largest cable manufacturers in the world, who make over 75 million cables a year and supply some of the most prestigious brands. Gear cables are thinner than brake cable at 1.2mm rather than 1.5mm. They also have a smaller cylindrical head at 4.5mm x 4.5mm. The head is compatible with almost all bikes. The inner cables are longer than standard. Some 2.0m cables are not long enough, so these are 2.2m, long enough for every eventuality encountered on normal bikes so far. Like all our other inner cables these have a spark finished end that makes them fantastic for sliding through existing outers. We supply a crimp for every cable to stop any cut ends from fraying.
