I needed 2 of these large Peculators (coffee urns). I serve coffee to a large crowd on Sundays. I ordered 2 and ran a cycle of just water to see how long they would take. A full brew (17L - 600 OZ) takes about 1 hr and 20 min. It was really hot. The one lid was not aligned properly and caused water to spray a little bit out of the top. I returned that one right away since that seemed like a safety hazard. It sprayed against my wall and electrical outlet. I ordered a replacement right away. I ran them both at a function on Saturday and they worked good. Lots of hot strong coffee. Someone else ran them on Sunday. I put one on the following Sunday and returned 1 hr and 20 minutes later and it was 'maybe' half done. the Red light was cycling on and off continually. the coffee was luke warm. I found out afterwards that it was doing this the Sunday before already. Both of them. They are both going back. It must be a problem with some thermal cutoff switch or something. But it makes these units very unreliable. Going to buy a different brand. It is unfortunate since I like the large size of these units. I need them this big.

Bought this at the end of May for use at our weekly club meeting. Nice looking unit and most of the guys were impressed with the look and feel of it. Unfortunately the pot started having problems after the second use. It’s stops brewing then starts and stops over and over again. It take 2-3 times as long to brew a pot of coffee as it should. I contacted Amazon. They guided me through the process of a return through a third party seller. The chat help told me it would be no problem and he was going to finish the rest of the return process and we parted ways. He said I’d hear something by 7/3, it is now 7/10. I requested an update 2 days ago. I haven’t heard a thing. It’s a $172 coffee urn and no response. The group is on my case about this since it’s group money being spent. I’m beyond aggravated.

Strange that’s there’s no volume indicators anywhere on it. You’d think the fluid level gauge on the front would have volume indicators, or the inside of table would have markers. Litres and/or cups would make sense. Also would be useful to have a heat indicator, all there is is a light which I guess means it’s hot when it goes out.

Jsi utilisé 3 fois seulement. Utilisé 1 fois par semaine puis la 4ieme semaine ne fonctionnait plus alors le 30 jours étais terminé. Il dois bien avoir une façon de la changer avec la compagnie directement. C'est une garantie de 90 jours habituellement. Je veut un message de retour svp merci
