Strong, stretch well. I use them on my guitar expression pedals to make them return to the up mode and they do this well.

For a particular application requiring a strong, thick rubber band, I had been using the ones that come around bunches of broccoli, but their elasticity failed fairly quickly. I tried some other ones purchased on amazon and they didn't work out either. Then I got these tactical rubber bands, and they are perfect. I use them outdoors where they are exposed to sunlight, and they have lasted far longer than any I have used before, and none have failed so far.

These are good, heavy duty, bands that have dozens of uses. They don't smell like DIY cut up bicycle tubes. They work great when packing for trips. I use one for wrapping my power banks, slick insulated coffee mug, and anything you don't want to slide around. Recommended

Stiff and strong bands that I've been using in a rough environment that is always in direct sunlight and frequently in over 100° temperatures. No cracking or problems so far, and they've been in place for many weeks now. They are heavy duty, so have limited stretching. You will want to get the right size for what you need.

Not really sure that one could describe then as "cost Effective" nor cheap.Plus, they were exactly what I was looking for.I wanted the green broccoli bands.I probably could've talked my local Food Lion out of a fist full and/or bought a pile of broccili.but, no.... I had to go Amazon....This is a kink in Amazon's armor.They often have sumthun kind-of like what you are after - but, not quite.And,The exact item match doesn't come with Prime shipping.And,The non-Prime seller charges more for shipping than the item.Then, there is always bulk-buying.If you buy 25 pounds of'm, the unit price (per ounce - per band) is quite manageable.But, you'll have to part with a couple of hundred bucks.Ergo, We come full circle to Tactical Mil-Spec Rubber Bands.Which are still quite expensive - but, ya got yur kind-of free shipping (or not)That said:They are very nice bands.They are tactical black.They have some stretch, with impressive force.I'm sure that these could flat out strangle a bunch of broccili.I'm using them for other purposes.They should last quite a while.Some rubber bands go brittle after a decade.Some rubber bands turn to mush or goo.I'm not sure what these critters will degrade do to.... I probably won't live that long.They worked well for my application.They resulting issue is where to store them for the next decade or so, where I shall find them.I'm already spending too much time playing hide-n-seek with the other stuff I've got.

I bought these to secure items to the racks on my quad, specifically the mounts for the freedom stick. These work well to replace the original rubber ones that came with my rack.
