I bought these to replace a few dash panels for a show car and the size has me taken care of, I had more then I though I needed. Quality build, I had a hard time getting these things to cut down to fit in the car but I managed. Definitely will buy again for the next project best value for your money people!

Real carbon fiber looks good

I bought this to make fins for the booster stage of an L2 high-power rocket. In the past I have purchased similar material from Chinese vendors on eBay and had to wait many weeks for it to show up in the mail. This arrived right on time. The surface is flawless; the edges are smooth, square and true. As you would expect, it is very strong. I won't hesitate to buy from this source for my next project. Other reviewers of similar carbon fiber plates have complained that they are a couple of millimeters narrower than indicated in the listing. The same is true here, so consider the size "nominal". Also, the thickness is listed as 2.5mm but my piece varied from 2.60 to 2.64mm. No big deal to me, but be forewarned if you need the dimensions to be exact.

The carbon fiber looks great! I bought the matte 6mm thick one and it’s solid as a rock. I could have easily gone with the 3-4mm thick one for my project and it would have been plenty. If you are looking for a solid sheet of carbon fiber, this is it.

Looks good, feels great, nice even layers. For straight cuts I HIGHLY recommend using a tile saw with continuous rim diamond blade. I bought the cheapest I could find, & used the continuous rim diamond blade that came with it, & got flawless straight cuts!!! You can even do some minor shaping using the side of the blade i.e. knocking off sharp corners. Just be sure you keep plenty of water for zero dust. Purchased the 2.5mm plate, it's extremely stiff, like 1/8" 304 stainless steel plate stiff, just a hair over the length & width, but not quite 2.5mm thick. I had one cut-off piece that was 1.5mm wide, I bent it 60 degrees and it still did not crack or break! I measured in 20 different places along the outer edge, average thickness was just 0.0947" (2.405mm) with the minimum being 0.0902" (2.29mm), and maximum being 0.0978"(2.484mm) .... 2.5mm is 0.0984252" so even the thickest point did not measure 2.5mm. Length & width are 11.8193" x 11.8334" or 300.21mm x 300.57mm Purchased to make a custom battery box for LiFePO4 12.8v battery I'm building. This will be the outer box with 1.5mm fiberglass plates between each cell. Unrelated to the project the plate was purchased for... the plate has a very musical quality to it. I might try to make a mini-wind chime out of the scraps!!! ******EDIT 3-1-2024: added two new photos of my cut on the tile saw. ******
