I didn't think i'd like a refurbished laptop but i am actually amazed at the quality, as mine had zero defects anywhere. I got the most speced out version of the 5491 i could then threw 32 gigs of RipJaws 2666MHz ram in it and this thing is a beast!Love that i took a chance, and it worked out!

No lo compres. El equipo se calentaba bastante y hoy 9 meses después se le daño el cooler, la reparación de refurbished se ve muy mal hecha y la garantía solo cubre 3 meses por lo que ten cuidado con los equipos que cuentan con una garantía tan corta. No lo recomiendo porque desde el inicio el equipo calentaba demasiado. El equipo tiene problemas de calentamiento de fabrica es un desperdicio de dinero.

Called customers service and then was told to call Dell. This was a government computer and I need to file a form to change owners, still waiting on then to contact me. Currently not on use do to the issues.

When I received the computer and took it out of the box, I plugged it in and powered it on. Immediatley, I heard a very loud fan sound. I also received a warning that the charger I was using was not correct (45W instead of 90W) which can cause damage. Long story short, the fan stopped working almost immediatley (no more loud sounds) and I receive a "fan mafunction" error. Amazon support was not helpful, I was able to google more and run a diagonstic test to show that the fan was not working. My gut instinct was to return this computer and get another, however, there were none like it available for exchange and I didn't just want my money back, I wanted this computer and specs!! I ended up purchasing a new fan and installed it. I also purchased the correct charger (a total of another ~$40) and had to do some windows updates because it kept shutting off randomly. I am by no means tech savvy, in fact since turning 40 I need the "kids" at work to help me with my computer some days lol. However, I feel like I was able to muddle through the issues and I'm very happy with the performace after getting past the inital issues. I have a few classes coming up and I'm hoping it works well and I don't regret doing some fixes on my own instead of returning it. When I removed the fan, I did notice that over half of it was broken off inside, I'm not sure what that says for the rest of the hardware...but as I said, I'm optimistically using it and hoping all is well from here on out.

Was as described and shipped fast. No issues and runs the games I like to play with the Nvidea graphics. Decent size memory.

This computer is super fast has tons of memory and is great for playing games. It has the nvidia graphics card so everything looks amazing on it from games to watching movies. The keyboard lights up for using in the dark. The battery life is great. When I bought it it didn’t mention that it was a touchscreen as well so that was a very pleasant surprise. The price was amazing for what I got. My only complaint is that it runs a little hot.
