BVBike Kickstand - Mountain Bike Kick Stand for 24-29" Bicycles - Adjustable Length, Non-Slip Sole, Aluminum Alloy Material - Bicycle Kickstand

My original kickstand which came from the dealer broke into pieces when my bike fell over. I purchased this 18mm kickstand for my Giant bicycle. I was careful to thread the screws into place without the kickstand with some WD40 to make sure the screws would go in without trouble. Since the threads were probably dirty I backed the screws in and out a couple of times but I was eventually confident everything was OK.Then I went to screw the kickstand on and the holes on the bike seemed to be slightly closer together than the 18mm. So I redrilled the holes with a 1/4" bit which gave me just enough room so that the kickstand screwed on easily. The drilling was very quick and easy since the kickstand is made of soft metal. I checked everything out and it seems very solid and surprisingly easy to adjust. Its a much better stand than the original one provided by the bike store.

As other people have mentioned, it's hard to remove the lock from it's frame mount, I sprayed some silicon on the mount mechanism and that made it a little easier to remove the lock from it's mount. If it were too loose it would rattle when biking, so I prefer having to fight with it a bit to remove it, to having it rattle over bumps. It was easy to install. Other than the above, it's easy to use. I like that it included the cable so after U locking to frame and rear wheel, I can use the cable for the front wheel. Knowing that an angle grinder can cut through nearly any U lock, I think this lock is a good balance between weight and security. The space between the rear wheel and the main from bar is too big to get both of them in the U, but the frame bars that go down to the rear tire can be easily locked with the rear wheel.In spite of the difficulty removing the lock from its mount, I still think it's 5 stars and would recommend it.

Easy to install. Really easy to adjust length, which is nice when carrying an extra load and the center of balance changes. My bike frame used smaller screws than the ones that came with the kickstand. Not really a problem with the kickstand itself, but I had to go find the correct size screws for my frame as I bent the screw when I broke the old kickstand.

Fits like a glove on my trek marlin 8 gen 2. Very sturdy and fits into holes on bike from factory. Like that it's adjustable.I saw other reviews saying it rattled and was loose. Make sure the bolts are completely in and tight. The one bad review that had this complaint had a picture, could see bolts weren't in all the way.

This fit my fx3 trek perfectly. I saw others say TheaThe screws came loose. The screws came with blue lock tite on the threads. I’ve only ridden a few rides since putting the kickstand on but I don’t foresee and issues.

I ordered this kickstand for my Trek Marlin 6 mountain bike. The kickstand itself is well made, adjust easily and looks good. The package arrived without the two mounting bolts. A call to the seller using the phone number from Amazon and they said they would mail me out the 2 bolts. The bolts arrived about five days later and I mounted the kickstand to the bike in about 5 minutes. It works great and is very stable.
