I don’t know if you need a banana hook, but if you want them off your counter this works well. My wife installed it and she is not particularly handy. Holds a big bunch of bananas.

This banana holder is durable and looks very nice. It fits perfectly under cabinets and doesn't hang too high or low. It holds multiple pounds of bananas without problems.

This thing is rock steady! You could hang an entire banana tree on it. I noticed some reviews complaining about the long screws. Yes they are long...too long if you intend to fasten them directly underneath the thin bottom of your cabinet. I also fastened mine underneath my cabinets except I mounted it on the brace between the cabinets...provided much better stability and no need for hunting down special screws...I used the ones provided. The stainless also looks sharp in my kitchen. You can’t beat this price for what you get.

Over all this product functions as advertised. However it has two major issues that with some small adjustments would really improve the product. First, the screws are slightly longer than the depth of the cabinet so they came up through my shelf. Second, the hook itself while sturdy could be a little less thick so that the bananas will fit on it without wrestling the thick hook between the stems.
