Medieval Times: From Castles to Villages, an Ultimate Medieval Coloring Book for Adults (Medieval Coloring Books Collection)

I really liked the look of the line drawings and there are all sorts of characters and architecture to have a go at. There's also a helpful practice section earlier in the book and some colour theory.

This isn't a greyscale coloring book! This isn't a bunch of photographs with the color digitally removed in order to call it a coloring book. I was so afraid I'd been lured into buying another AI book that would prove disappointing, but happily I was wrong! This is a good coloring book for grown people who want something special, even difficult, to color. I haven't colored any of the pages yet, which means I haven't run across anything wonky but I've bought enough slap-dash AI coloring books by now to know what to look for and avoid.Happily, this book is just what I hoped for. A good variety of line drawings of castles, nice illustrations of the people inhabiting the castle--princesses, good looking knights, good guys, bad guys, interior scenes, exterior scenes--I'm just so pleased and looking forward to coloring this.I sincerely think this is the way good AI can be, a new art form that combines the excellence of an artist/author/publisher who takes the time to do a good job drawing, assembling and then choosing the variety of pictures that a colorist longs for in a coloring book. I did see a couple of hands that could've been done better, but as an artist I know drawing hands is difficult. There's a lot here to recommend. I'm offering my excited approval for this coloring book. If you've got a thing for life in a medieval castle and a bunch of pictures to take you there via colored pencils, here's my surprise find. :)

My only problem is with the images. They have typical AI errors in them, some details like hands, chandeliers and other fine details are distorted and warped. Also the linework in some area is way too fine and detailed and doesn't serve well as colouring images. It would have been easy to clean these images up using Photoshop or the like. Very little effort went into the creation of these images.

I love all things medieval so this coloring book is a real treat with its detailed drawings of castles, knights, ladies, and craftsmen. I may have bitten off more than I can chew, however, as I am a beginner colorist and this book is definitely not for beginners. That was my bad but I look forward to coloring in it once I've leveled up my skills a bit. All the same, it is a beautifully drawn book and would recommend to anyone who likes medieval stuff and likes a more challenging coloring experience.

Don't purchase this!! It's made with a poor ai system as there are PLENTY of mistakes in the images. Theyre just good enough to be passable, unless you look for the details. This will be so frustrating to colour if i do at all. Ai images steal from real artists, I highly regret this purchase and I'm very upset and angry! Don't fall for this scam colouring book!!!
