Like a chapter in a big more general book but better.
This entire series is really good. Small pamphlet sized topics so easy to take along. But not small by glossing over the subject in generalities. Writer has perfected concise story telling. No fluff. To get more information you need to get a shovel & dig it up. Who's in who's out who's in ... and when.. all there. Human history is big dinosaurs eating smaller ones and smaller ones forming groups for eating the big ones ... No food chain, more of a daisy chain. Intervals of power assertion with supernatural claims to justify eating chomp chomp...

A vast historical timeline
This is an overview of a long timeline starting from when it is estimated the area was first inhabited, possibly a millennium ago, to what can be considered recent times, and the death of Cleopatra in 30BCE. Because there are no written records, and archaeologists are relying on what they find buried beneath the sands, it is hard to put an exact date on the start of ancient civilisation in this area. This book, in a small amount of pages, looks at the area’s early inhabitants, their customs and daily life. It is also a journey of how this kingdom rose to power, its many leaders, religion and beliefs and its desirability by foreign forces. In its later chapters it details the art of this ancient country including mummies, temples and murals. It brings to reality how epic the history of human occupation is in this area.
