Tantrum eliminator!
I got this for my toddler to help him understand transitions and how much time he has left for objects. First, it needs to be kept out of arms reach because it took my kid less than 30 seconds to figure out how to turn the dial to extend his time. BUT it also really works for giving them a visual sense of understanding of how much time they have left.We use it to limit:-screentime-playtime before bedWe also use it to give time reference:-time left until we leave-time to check if we need to potty-time left before we get ready for bed-time left before we break for a mealWe always tell him what we are setting the timer for and when it goes off we ask, the timer went off, what happens now? And he will say, "Time to get ready for bed!" or "Time to turn off Ms. Rachel". Any parent knows, ordinarily those are rough moments in the day but thanks to this timer, they are smooth transitions.I also picked this timer specifically because it is rechargeable whereas most of the others I found had batteries that needed to be changed. And I like that this timer has a functional digital clock as well as both lighted and sound alarms.

Excellent timer
Build quality is excellent (though it hasn't been dropped...yet.) The timer works well and is silent. Clock keeps time properly, so very happy overall. Only cons - Setting the clock time is a little finicky because it reverts out of "set" mode rather quickly - if you fumble a bit, have to start over. Also it's a bit larger than we thought. It's a little bulky to have on the desk at school for exams and in the backpack - it's do-able - but a half inch smaller in each dimension would make it perfect.

A nice visual timer, but some not great aspects
This a visual timer that shows how much time is left by sweeping a clear blue film over the clock. It is easy to read in normal light and also features a digital clock at the top. Setting is simple with the knob in the center.I gave this a four rating for two reasons. The first is that if you turn the timer off by the switch in the back, it loses the time setting. I was surprised by this since that clock consumes almost no power and should always be on. After accidentally turning the clock off more than once, I simply gave up on resetting the time. The second reason is that when the timer is running I could hear a distinct mechanical sound like a wind up timer. Since this is an electronic timer, I expected it to be silent. This is especially important in classroom or study situations where the sound could be distracting.Otherwise it is a nice example of this style or visual clock and the USB charging feature is a nice touch so You don't have to hunt down batteries when it runs out of juice.

Stopped working after six months
I loved the size, portability, and color of this time timer. However, it has stopped working all together. I plugged it in to charge it, and it still doesn't work. The other Yunbaoit product I bought stopped working the same day it arrived in the mail.

Great Alarm Clock, Love the Light Flash Mode!
This timer is versatile and has nice features that can be used a variety of ways.It has 3 alarm modes: loud, soft, and silent with a flashing light. When the timer needs to be charged a red light appears, and when it is fully charged a green light appears. The timer is user friendly and can help teach children to understand the concept of time - for example if you tell your kids you're leaving the house in 15-minutes and still find yourself scrambling to get them out the door every morning, setting this timer can help them learn how to understand what 15 minutes means.I work with students that have anxiety and sensory issues. I love the visual light alarm mode because that will not aggravate them when the alarm goes off.The only drawback I can see with this timer is that it is set with a dial. It is not a digital timer. So, if you are setting it for five-minutes, for example, and turn the dial a little past the "5" it may go for five-minutes and 30-seconds. Although the timer is accurate, just keep in mind that the time you set is a “ballpark” estimate depending on how accurately you set the dial.Despite the possible concern about the dial, I still think it is perfect for timing family activities and helping kiddos understand the concept of time.I definitely recommend this timer.

Not bad, but kids lost interest quickly
This timer is great in theory, but the kids did not like it as much as a digital timer. They also could not silence it as easily as a digital one so they turned it off a lot which turns the clock off making you program it again every time. Not my favorite timer.

Helpful for my ADHD tendencies
I sometimes get really into a project or task and can’t come back out of the focus hole when I really should-I use tons of audible timers and have clocks but this addition of the blue slice of time that’s left has been helpful for reining in my activities or knowing I have a little bit more I can sandwich in if I so desire. It is inspiring when there’s just a sliver of blue but I have half a sink full of dishes left to put in the dishwasher. I appreciate the fact that there can also be an audible alarm at the end because I don’t watch the timer the whole time I’m doing something (of course) - but if you DO want to turn off that alarm sound the button is on the back. The alarm is powered by a usb cord but it doesn’t have a wall outlet adaptor so keep that in mind. I do wish it had a battery option as that is a little easier to set and forget for awhile but this is also fine. I think this would be fantastic as a much larger wall clock for ease of seeing it across the room.
