We love the sturdiness and the ease in which this gate went up. However, the flap is just too heavy for cats. Neither of my cats will go through it now after the door caught their tails every time they walked through. So they are jumping the gate, which means they're using my dresser as a causeway and part of the reason we put a gate with a door in it was so that the cats would stay off my dresser. We're going to figure out how to remove the flap, but if you have cats I definitely recommend NOT putting the flap in.

This gate looks very nice and has held up well so far. We removed the plastic flap from the pet door by partially unscrewing the housing holding the flap because our cats did not like the flap. The latching mechanism on the walk through portion of the gate is slightly more complicated to use, which is great if you have small children who are good at figuring out child security features.

Overall this is a great gate. I bought it to keep my dog out of the laundry area but still allow my kitties passage, since that’s where their food dishes are.Pros:- It seems very sturdy and well-made- It’s relatively easy to install; as some of the other reviews have mentioned, it does appear warped before you install it, but this is because it’s a tension-based gate. Once it’s installed correctly, it will straighten out- The walk-through gate is nice and wide for easy human passage—reviews for some of the other gates I looked at complained about how narrow they were.- The gate overall is a good height. Although my dog is relatively intimidated by a fence of any height, this gate is easy to reach down and push/pull on. No extra bending or reaching.Cons:- The handle is honestly kind of difficult to operate, or at least the locking mechanism is. We’ve gotten to where we just leave the gate closed but unlatched so we don’t have to mess with the locks every time.- There’s a little bit of an edge on the bottom of the cat door rim that catches on the gate so the door doesn’t swing freely very well, and one of my cats has trouble even pushing it open. We ended up just using duct tape to hold it open until we have a chance to try to file down that edge a little.Again, this is a good gate overall, and I think it will end up being perfect for our needs. I also should note that I ordered some protective wall cups to help keep the tension spindles from scratching or damaging the door casing where the gate is set up, but it turned out the gate actually came with some protective cups as well as some adhesive pads.Update: filing down the bottom of the cat door worked great and now it swings freely (though we've still had it taped up for a while just until the kitties get used to using it). We also discovered that you can wedge something thin under the handle (so far we're just using duct tape—very classy) to keep it from laying flat against the top of the gate; it can still turn far enough that the latch catches and effectively keeps the gate shut, but not so far that the locking mechanism engages. Then it's easy to just open and close the gate with the handle rather than mess with the little triangle-shaped sliders that unlock it.

We got this gate for our upstairs bedroom. We needed something to keep the dogs up and let the cats in/out without them jumping on the ledge and knocking over my plants.Overall it was easy to install. Since it was at the top of our stairs, one half of the gate lined up with the window frame. We just used two extenders on the top left corner, one extender on the bottom left and none on the right. I'll attach a picture so it's easier to see! We have other gates in our house that swing more smoothly and latch shut. This one needs the handle lifted to open or close vs a button latch, so you can't open it and kick it shut with your foot. Honestly it's not a big deal considering that's the biggest issue I've had.Our cats had a weird aversion to the swinging pet door so we just took it out. There's 3 screws to unscrew, pop the door out and then retighten the screws. It's super easy to remove or replace that door if you have a big enough dog that can't squeeze through. If anything I'd just recommend zip ties across half of the opening to make it smaller if your dog can still squeeze through.We're in the middle of reorganizing our upstairs so it's a little messy but I wanted to spruce up that corner and have it match the foliage in the room. I just wrapped faux roses around the gate and I think it looks very cute! A little garden gate for my furbabies 💖

This is a great buy if you like to keep your dogs out of a room. High enough they don’t challenge it. Also the door is nice instead of you having to climb over.

purchase this as a baby gate with a pet door. I'll start with positives. It is sturdy, it's tall, and it's very wide. The way the door locks is a little easier to open than others I've tried.. locks closed every time . That being said, it is still a little difficult to get unlocked . Little struggle putting it together, caps need to be removed for extenders to be put in... Caps are tough to get out! The pet door doesn't swing freely which can be a pro if your pet knows how to push it open... But for my cat it is a con. Overall, I'm pleased that I chose this one instead of going back to others. I've tried.

The opening and locking mechanism is kind of annoying. The other baby gate I've used just had the first step, where you push a tab over and it unlocks the gate. Then you can just push it shut. This one you have to push a tab over, lift a handle and then to lock it you have to line the lock back up and push the handle back down. Also 1 and 2 year olds fit through the dog door, took them literally 5 seconds to figure that out lol.I have a chihuahua and the door is a good size for her. The door is hard plastic and can be locked. I had to use both extensions to make the gate fit. It was easy to put together. I just don't like the locking mechanism, I want to be able to kick the door shut. You could also just swing your legs over, I'm 5'3 and it's a little tall for me to do that but not at all impossible or very difficult. Just for if your hands were full you could.

きめ細かい作りとはあまり言えません　説明書も英語でよくわからないし全体が鉄でできていて重い　女性でもどうにか付けられそうですが中学生程度の腕力は必要そうです　締め金具もしっかりしないと本体が重いので怖いです　犬をしまうときも犬を抱えたままだとドアの開閉が出来ません（片手では無理）　値段や組み立て使い勝手どれをとっても満足に至らない商品でした

Absolutely love this baby gate! I personally had a little bit of a hard time installing it by myself but luckily my husband came to my rescue. Doesnt damage the walls and Prefect for my cat to be able to go downstairs to his littler box while still able to have it still blocked so my son and dog will stay upstairs I do find that the cat door does squeak alittle. But I like that it has a lock on it so if my son were to figure out he can fit though it I can lock it if needed.

J’ai acheter le produit neuf et il est arrivé avec plusieurs étiquettes d’envois et plusieurs imperfection / bris. Le produit est bon mais lorsque tu rajoutes les extensions, il devient de moins en moins sécuritaire car il se met à chambranles. Bon produit mais je le recommande uniquement sans aucune extension et assurez vous que la barrière est neuve lors de la réception. Nous elle ne l’était visiblement pas malgré la mention de barrière neuve.

This gate is exactly what we were looking for. Easy to install, easy to open and close, secure and very sturdy. The little doggy door is a great bonus too and when you don't want them going threw the doggy door just lock it. Ticks off all the boxes for us. I highly recommend it.
