Took a 30.9 post to 31.6 effortlessly
I needed a shorter dropper than the 31.6 mm/150 mm that came with my Santa Cruz Chameleon. I had a perfectly good 30.9 post in 125 mm and this adapter allowed me to use that and save the cost of a new dropper.

Solved huge problem
Solved the huge problem I was having switching my Velo Orange setback seatpost to a larger post size! My seat is set low anyway, and the shim fit past the weld, so I have few concerns about it splitting or slipping.
