These are fabulous!
I’ve purchased something in the past that looks exactly like this but the threads on the perch didn’t match the bottle so the perch would fall off. These new ones work great! The description says it works best with Pepsi products, but I am using it on a storebrand soda bottle and it works great. I do not use the hanger that comes with it though. I have been in the business of making my own birdfeeders because I have bears and it’s way too expensive to replace store-bought feeders every time! So I came up with a way to hang the soda bottles. Get some coated wire, drill a hole in the bottom of the soda bottle so you can barely push the wire through (so water does not leak in). Push the wire all the way through, tie a knot in it pull the wire back through & tie a loop. See pics because that probably wasn’t great instructions!! Anyway, works great and I am extremely satisfied now that I found these perches that securely screw on soda bottles.

Gifts
These made awesome teacher gifts. With the pop bottles we saved of course.

Easy to use but flimsy
Easy to use but flimsy. Birds just make a mess of it on the floor. But it does the job so I only gave it a 4 star rating.....Maybe make holes smaller so less seeds, less mess when birds sift through the seeds.

Fun!!! But flimsy.
Fun, cheap project!!! My young son and I had lots of fun putting these together with our own emptied 16oz soda bottles and hanging them in our trees.But... these feeders are NOT very durable. Two broke in a day, and the third one lasted a week.

They tray is smaller than expected
We already had on of these feeders (got it during a local birding event). I didn’t realize the seed trays come in different sizes, this one is markedly smaller than the one we already have, this however is not necessarily a bad thing because it discourages some of the larger birds to take control of the feeder.Making the two holes in the bottle is best done by using a framing (construction framing that is) nail. Hold it with some pliers while you use your favorite method to heat the tip, then simply melt through the bottle. Doing it this way rather then jabbing a hole makes it less likely that the bottle will rip or tear.

These are clever and work perfectly!
What can I say? They use standard water bottles that screw into the bird feeder. The work excellently and small birds love them. I have four of them. The bottom has an screw out plug so you can empty the old seeds without turning the entire thing upside down, and makes it easier to clean the tray. There is nothing wrong with these feeders, and their simplicity should allow them to last practically forever (i.e., You can't break them by dropping them, and the only thing that serves as the container is a standard water bottle).--20oz water bottle or so. They can't take two liter bottles.--These are for small birds. Large birds, such as Bluebirds, Robins, and Mocking Birds can't use them.

Had them for a few weeks, and they're holding up
So, in the Texas sun, you don't expect anything plastic to last for long, but these little gems are wonderful. The big birds can't land on them, so the little birds get their own feeders, finally, while the doves and squirrels go for easier feeders. (Although, I have laughed multiple times as the squirrel gets on this and just twirls and twirls.)The product is self explanatory, the only real "assembly" is poking some holes in a small soda/water bottle for the hanger. Absolutely am buying more for other spots in the yard.

Great Purchase!
I bought these as a fun activity for the kids thinking it would be more fun than durable/useful, but I was wrong! The kids did have fun, but these little feeders have proven super durable and the birds love them! Our neighbors have even asked about them and said they love watching all the birds that flock to our yard now. We're buying more to hang on our side porch as well! Oh, and even the squirrels have pulled on them and they don't break. They have a super convenient twist top to refill so you don't have to take the bottle out each time. Side note: get a funnel! Otherwise, you'll have bird seed everywhere!
