Best Assam Tea I've Ever Had
This is amazing. So much strength and flavour packed in a teaspoon! It also has a very lovely, deep color for tea-staining art and tinting cyanotypes. Personally, I brew this up in my studio to drink and then save the grounds to dry and reuse for art. Most tea is "washed out" after one use. This is still going strong. Even after brewing once, it still makes an intense batch brew for aging paper and warming up images.Regarding flavor: It does pair well with milk and spices, but I usually drink it black (because I have no fridge in my studio) and it tastes amazing all by itself. I have trouble with black teas when they're too acid or bitter, but this one gives me no problems. I can't say if it's technically "low acidity," but it is gentle on the stomach.Regarding strength: I brew in a small all-in-one teapot with a built in strainer... now, with the right ratios, this doesn't go bitter even if it takes a while to empty the pot (the equivalent of leaving a teabag in your cup). But with a higher tea-to-water ratio, it can get quite bitter quickly. Not a complaint, just a warning: this has WAY more flavor than most cheap tea, so if you're just switching over from major brands like Lipton, don't expect to use your old ratios and brewing times. You'll want less tea in the pot OR a shorter brew time. And that's what's amazing about it. Don't just look at the price per ounce -- it's affordable enough on the weight, but it's a sheer steal once you see how far it goes! I'll never buy another brand of loose-leaf Assam again.

Fresh crisp deep tea flavor
I tried this ASSAM ctc tea for the first time. I was shocked. The fresh deep flavor was astounding. Let me describe the brewing process. First, I filled a loose leaf tea filter. Gently laid the bag in the cold water. Turn the stove on, and gently allowed the water to get hot in the pot. I did not boil the water. I noticed a very deep rich brown color developing. The aroma was delightful.I will try to describe the flavor. It does not taste exactly like black tea. It is quite a bit more robust. Bitter? Maybe? When brewed, this ASSAM Tea looks far more deep and rich than regular black tea.Upon first sip, I noticed an almost extremely light citrus flavor combined with a slight hint of black tea flavor. There was the tiniest hint of flowers, possibly lilac or honeysuckle wafting in the aroma, and on my tongue. Ever so light, indeed. It does have a magnificent tea flavor that grabbed my tongue and senses. There can be no question, the tea flavor is there. Yet it lovingly combines with the citrus & flowers, to make a heavenly taste that clearly stands apart from regular black tea.As the tea cooled, I noticed the flavor changed to a more black tea flavor, but still had a hint of flowers and citrus. The tea taste It is definitely far more robust than regular black tea... although both have their magic. I highly recommend this tea if you are ready for a tea that supercedes your wildest imagination!

Such high quality and tasty tea for low price
I’m so happy with this since I started the first order. I just kept ordering it whenever I ran out. The assam makes such fragrant and tasty chai tea every morning. I’m a very very picky tea drinker. Most name brands on the market grosses me out because they are just pretty but not very high quality/smooth to drink (a lot of the expensive and fancy ones too, like Hxx & Sxx). I used to drink lupicia only but Lupicia doesn’t sell my favorite assam flavor anymore. I’m so glad I made the move toward this one. It’s amazingly cheap too and it’s organic!! I was a little sad when this ran out briefly last month. So happy it’s back so soon again.

DIY Milk Tea
Got this to make milk tea at home and it was pretty good. It seems a little goes along way. Good value and smells good. I still need to practice with the ratios, but I'm getting there. Goes great with non dairy creamer and DIY cheese foam.

Absolutely Perfect and Delicious, I drank the whole pot in 1/2 an hour
I have bought a lot of Assam Black teas looking for the perfect one .I like my tea very malty and rich. A strong no nonsense Assam CTC teaI finally found the malty rich dark tea I have looked so hard for.Three weeks ago dumped at least 3 lbs of tea in the garbage.that I just did not enjoy enough to keep drinking. I have to want more..I ordered 3 organic ones off Amazon. The other two were black Assam teas too and I’ll turn them into spiced masala lattes, they just don’t quite give me what I want. The Mana arrived this morning, I made a pot tonight and drank a big mug full and then another and then drained the pot. I immediately then ordered 4 more bags. I am very happyI have lbs of Silver Needle teas, Chinese red teas, Japanes Matchas and green teas, Kenyan purple teas but my heart belongs to A good malty Assam

Five Stars!
This is some of the best black tea out there. At least that I've had and I've been drinking tea my whole life. It's high quality and good value for the price. As everyone says it has a good flavor and is quite strong. So be careful with the amount you put in your teapot.

Strange taste strange smell
I have to wonder what the vendors' definition of strong is. After experimenting, I had to use triple the amount of 'tea' they recommend to even get anything I might consider strong. The 'tea', both dry and wet grounds, smell slightly fishy. This 'tea' has very little taste. I have been drinking tea for over 60 years and spend several hundred dollars a year on tea. This stuff was so bad, I might as well have just bought cheap tea bags from a grocery store. I would never buy this again. Total waste of my hard earned money
