A lock that had a unique keys pattern
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Needed locks for our camper’s pass through storage that had unique keys. These are perfect! Easy to install and use.

Know what you are getting into and use mechanical sense
Worked for my purposes on RV doors. They were not "plug and play" but that is not the manufacturers issue. Not all doors are the same. I could not use the included cams, as my door requires a greater offset than the supplied offset cam. The original cams had a much larger hole in them so I contacted "MacGyver" and used a dense plastic filler piece to take up the extra space in the square hole, placing the cam against the flat side of the lock's threaded shaft and inserting the filler piece in the void. It makes for a secure post for the cam to rotate on and does not have any affect on the strength of the cam holding the door secure. The only stress on the plastic is the rotation of the cam as you turn to lock or unlock the door, and the cam doesn't experience any significant resistance to strip out the plastic. Make sure you measure your old lock depth so you get the right size. I had no issue or concern with the nuts stripping out as other competing product reviews indicate. The threads and nuts on these locks are every bit as good as OEM. I ordered these after reading the original 3 reviews, all one star, but was confident that Amazon would stand behind the purchase if it wasn't right. It was right. I received all the parts, keys, etc. I measured the size. I did not rotate the cylinders without having the cam and nut tightened down to avoid any shift with the tumblers. I find the 4 pack a good value, much better than buying separately. I only wish it came with more keys. I would gladly pay a little more money, but not a lot for more keys than two, but then again, I will be ordering more sets, and by the time I am done, I will have enough spare keys.

Best replacement for RV storage locks to keep your stuff safe.
I love that this can easily be used to replace the standard locks that come with your RV and this allows you to have control over who gets into your stuff. Most other locks on RVs us a universal key that anyone can use to open up your compartments. We ordered a set of 12 locks and replaced all of our locks so we are the only ones that have a key. We did keep one key for the original locks for our outside shower as we did not change that lock. One of our first purchases when we got our new to us RV.

Door locks
These locks fit my RV compartment doors very well, I would recommend them to everyone, supplier shipped them quickly and was easy to work with, only problem was my measurements I failed to account for the handle on the door. Very easy to install and appears to be constructed very well, 5 Star rating

Lock washer needs improvement
Bear in mind that a tubular lock like this is a pretty low security solution for whatever you are locking up. Easy to pick. Easy to pry. If you look at the the skinny nut that screws onto the backside you'll notice that it's just like the skinny nut used on similar locks sold by other vendors on Amazon. Nevertheless, it's a bad nut. Being so skinny, it engages very few threads on the lock barrel, and the threads themselves on both the nut and the lock are cut shallow. I was able to screw the nut (by hand) onto the lock then with my bare hands I was able to strip the nut right off by giving it a hard pull.I sourced a much better quality nut that was three times as deep and with much tighter threads. Still, this lock is a low security solution. I'm using it on a cabinet mostly just to hold the cabinet door in place while I'm putting on the padlock.

Great seller, great locks
My door frame is 5/8". I think that is adverage for truck campers. They stick out just enough to engage door frame for a tight fit. Thought I would have to get some plastic washers before ordering these for tight fit but these fit perfect and not needed. Got rid of the same stock keys 99% of rv's owners and thieves have. Now for the good part. I do not hesitate to give a bad review or a good one. In this case 5 stars is not enough. I had some questions for Steve the owner. Prompt reply and super nice to deal with. For this alone I would buy again from Steve and forgo others, so buy from him. My two cents.

Great locks!
They are fairly easy to install, but it takes a bit of time to figure out which way to turn the paddle. You have to make sure which way the lock tabs are positioned. We used 2 on our compartment door. We wanted they to be in the same position ( the "tab" was at 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock). It could get confusing, but persistence paid off. I'm just glad we don't have the same lock and key everyone else has. We installed a 3rd lock on the outdoor shower. Perfect!
