Feeling smooth again.
Well I admit it, I made a mistake, no not on this shaver. I had bought a Norelco triple header because it was cheaper and well, you get what you pay for. The Norelco was terrible, would not shave close and left my face cut on multiple occasions. This Braun Series 9 is just the opposite. The Braun shaves very close and is so easy on my skin, no nicks or irritated skin at all. Can be cleaned with water and maybe once a week I'll use the 6in1 SmartCare Center to really get everything clean. I have not used the Power Case yet but it seems very sturdy and should offer great protection not to mention how handy it should be for recharging when on long trips.Don't even second guess yourself, GET ONE. You will not be sorry!!

Well worth the price
I haven’t used an electric razor in decades and last I did left my face visibly distressed, red, and eventually full of ingrown hairs. This razor is quiet, quick, and effective. No irritating “burn” after use and the cleaning station, which I thought was nothing but a gimmick, is very useful. I could go on about how pleased I am with this razor but I’ll just leave it with my opinion that it is a great razor that does what it claims and seems like it will for a long time. I definitely recommend it!

Best shaver hands down!
I rarely write reviews but this thing requires one! It's probably been over a decade since I've tried electric shaving, I'm glad I did some homework and listened to reviews and ended up with this Braun. It absolutely shaves as close as a blade and does it with a smoothness and efficiency I'd never dreamt possible from an electric. Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny? HELL YES!!

Good shaver
Good shave, just expensive. No skin irritation, fast charging and a long battery life.

10X Better than S7
At my urging my wife bought me the Braun S9 Pro for Christmas. I have been using a Braun S7 for the last couple years and didn't like it. Razor burn, incomplete shaving on upper lip, lightweight and chinzy feeling. The S9 Pro is a dream by comparison. It gives me a completely clean close shave without shaver burn. The trim attachment is also really smooth and does a great job. We went on a six-week trip to South America and Antarctica. I charged the case to 100% before leaving and didn't bring along the shaver cord. I shaved every two days on the trip and when the indicator dropped to four bars I charged from the case. I returned from the trip and the case was only down to three bars after having kept the shaver fully charged the whole trip. If you're trying to decide between the S7 and S9, go with the S9. It is a lot more money but you'll be entirely happy with it. I'm planning to follow a youtube movie to make my own cleaning solution when the included one runs out.

Such an upgrade over what was already a great razor!
I purchased this razor as a replacement to my old Series 8, which I really loved over the last 6 or 7 years. I couldn't believe how much better this razor is over the older model. I love everything about it, the charging is great (I use the base station, so it's always charged when I need it anyways, the base station feel solid. I generally shave every day or 2, and this razor has no issues keeping up with my pretty heavy stubble. I'm not the biggest fan of the trimmer design, but they haven't changed it on the last 2, so I won't knock a star for it, but I do wish they'd go back to the series 7 design on that part only.Overall, I think that this has been a great purchase, and I look forward to using it every morning.

A great shave.
The Series 9 Braun shaver gives a fast, clean, and comfortable shave. It's on the expensive side, but it is well worth the price. You get what you pay for.

Good but very expensive
I think this shaver is great, having used it twice now for my facial hair. I see people reviewing that they also use it for their head and so I suppose it works there as well.I am primarily an electric shaver type of guy as someone who doesn't really grow a full, thick beard. Electric razors are just quicker and easier for shaving my face and navigating the two annoyingly placed moles (it's birthmarks, not cancerous) that I have on the side of my face. This razor in particular is pretty gentle and the head is flexible in that it contours and pivots automatically to your face and differing angles as you move the razor across your jawline and cheek bones. For the longest time, I was just using cheap electric razors you'd find stocked at retailers like Walmart and decided to splurge. The difference is huge, where the cheaper electric razors would still leave some scratchy stubble, this razor provides the smoothest shave I've ever felt since first trying a manual razor. I don't feel any hair at all after using this product and having a successful shaving session. The 6-piece set comes with this dispenser that both charges the razor as well as disinfecting the blades. You get two cartridges of this alcohol solution that you insert into the bottom of the dispenser, insert the blade upside down and press the back of it into the holder, and it'll automatically squirt the cleaning solution after turning on the dispenser. Now, I don't know how long the solution actually lasts or when it's supposed to be replaced because of how terrible the manual is (more on that later) but this dispenser/charging device is, well, why the 6-set razor is so expensive (also more on that later). I'd honestly rather not have had it because I have no problem just charging the razor in the case and manually cleaning the razor. When it comes to the cleaning solution, you now have to maintain it through an extra purchase if you intend on using it. Which is really just another way for the company to keep people spending money. So, yes, for those who are thinking of buying this razor: just opt for the 4-piece set because the other two pieces are just the cleaning cartridges and the "smart care center" that just gives you another method of charging the razor and these two pieces are apparently worth an extra $100 USD.But why did I give it three stars? A few reasons:1. It may just be that I am still adapting to it (I've only used it two times in like the month I've owned it because my facial hair grows in rather slowly) but it's actually kind of unreliable? Going over my face with my hand, I can feel spots that the razor just isn't shaving. It works far better when you completely trim your facial hair to the point of stubble, hair that is longer or thicker is going to get pulled rather than cut. The razor comes with another blade attached that you can conveniently slide up and down to utilize it and this is often what I have to use to cut down the facial hair if I've let it grown too long, as well as touching up areas that the head of the shaver just isn't able to shave. With that in mind, I believe this is a razor that is probably meant to be used every few days at the latest. But I like to sort of see how my facial hair is growing in, if it's getting any thicker, etc., before I go back to a completely smooth face. It's for people who really do not want any facial hair at all and so you stop the hair growth as soon as you can feel it growing in as stubble. It's not at all meant for trimming and if you let your hair grow out, you're going to have to use another razor or scissors rather than the main shaving head of this product. For whatever reason, it absolutely refuses to cut longer hair.2. The manual is terrible. It's more of a pictogram than having words to describe the features of the razor, the "6in1 smart care center" that it ships with, how to properly insert the cleaning cartridges, etc. I had to fiddle around with it a bit, and while it wasn't at all too difficult to figure out, I can't imagine someone less tech-savvy really wanting to bother with it.When it comes to the case, it's cool that you can just charge the case and it'll act as a wireless charging battery for the razor, in the event that you just trash the "smart care center" device, but prying out the cleaning brush is difficult and people with arthritis would probably have to use a screwdriver or something to just shove underneath it.3. Obviously, the price. The price on this thing is exorbitant for what is, at the end of the day, an electric razor, whether you're spending the $250 or so for just the 4-piece set or opting for the 6-piece set for around $350.
