Quality LED Tube Lights
Wow! I ordered a package of 10 4 foot LED lights to replace my fluorescent lights. Each light came individually wrapped in a plastic with protectors on each of the end pins. Each light was inside a protective cardboard tube.I like these lights a lot since there is a switch to select brightness and a switch for the color temperature.I recommend these lights as replacements for fluorescent tubes but do remember that they require power at both ends and that the ballast be removed. See the manufacturer instructions.

Love the adaptability
Bought these for my wife's floral studio lights. She wasn't sure what color temperature she wanted, and this gave me the ability to dial in just what she wanted. Noticeably brighter than the fluorescent tubes that were there, and lower energy use as a bonus! Bypassing the ballast was easy.

9 Different Color/Temperature Options
While not fully compatible with all ballast types and wiring, these LED Tubes do a good job and cast a large amount of light. These tubes were installed in the tool room if workshop on some very old fixtures.I opted to set mine for 4000k @18W which gives me a great amount of white light for the space. I do wish that they had a diffused cover, which would make them easier to look at. The packaging was great with each lamp in individual rigid cardboard tubes. The caps on the contact ends were a nice addition as well.As I mentioned, these do not work with all ballast types. I was going to plug and go with these and bypass the ballast later, but had to change my plans. One fixture would not light up at all, so I pulled the ballast and rewired (Line on one end and Neutral in the other). While rewiring the first fixture, I was using the second fixture for light (2 circuits with separate switches). It stopped working as I finished the require, so I had to take it apart. The ballast was extremely warm to the touch, so I am sure it died, suspiciously while powering these LED Tubes. So I ended up bypassing the ballast for that one as well.It is best to pull the ballast anyway since it is an unnecessary, inefficient component in the lighting circuit. I cannot say if these can continuously run well on a ballast that is not so aged, so your experience may differ. If you are comfortable removing the ballast yourself, I think you will be happy with these.

Problem with magnetic ballasts
The media could not be loaded. I ordered these to replace aging fluorescent bulbs in my shop and save some power. Unfortunately, they have a problem with the magnetic ballasts in those fixtures. I first swapped a pair into one fixture to see how they worked, and was apparently lucky because the two LED bulbs seemed to produce more light than the fluorescent bulbs they replaced. I did note that one LED bulb was brighter than the other even though both were set to 18W. Then I swapped the bulbs in the next fixture. Both flashed on and off in about a one second cycle. I started swapping in other bulbs with similar results. It didn't matter what wattage was selected. So I went back to the first fixture that was working, and found that if I replaced the dimmer bulb with one of the flashers, both flashed. Hmm...So then I cycled through all bulbs, and found 4 that did not flash when paired with the "flasher" in the fixture. The flashing didn't seem to matter which side of the fixture the bulbs were installed in, but one side always tended to be dimmer than the other. So I did get 4 pairs that worked in these fixtures. But later I was working in the shop and one of the fixtures started blinking off every 5 or 10 seconds. So given the propensity for these to flash when working through a magnetic ballast, I would re-wire the fixtures to eliminate the ballasts. But no instructions on how to do that were included in the box. Nor were any included in the description or on the manufacturer's website. The description says "End Powered", but does that mean across the 2 pins on either end, or power applied across both ends? The option to choose the light color worked fine on the bulbs I tested for that feature, and decided 4000K is best for the shop. Before I said they "seemed" brighter because the light is much more directional than the fluorescent bulbs. Anything directly below the light is very bright - almost too bright - and I may drop down to 15W or 12W. But these LED bulbs do not shine anything up into the fixture's white reflector, so the light does not disperse throughout the room as well as it did with fluorescent bulbs. I suppose that will be fine once I get used to it. I took off 2 stars for the incompatibility with these magnetic ballasts and the lack of information on how to re-wire the fixture.Follow-up: I was in the shop several hours today, and one of the lights blinked off. I took the fixture down and the ballast was extremely hot, and apparently burnt out. The company never got back to me regarding how to rewire the fixture after removing the ballast. I had previously installed 4 foot fluorescents in our laundry. Those required the magnetic ballasts be bypassed, and 120V connected across the 2 pins on either end, which is an easy mod. These have those 2 pins shorted together, so the 120V must be wired from end to end, requiring adding a length of wire. With the ballast removed there is no flashing and both bulbs are the same brightness. I dialed them down to 15W. It remains at 3 stars due to fried ballast and the reasons above.

Flexible replacement for standard shop lights
Used these LED tube lights to replace the standard fluorescent lights in my shop. Was able to use the existing fixtures after removing the ballasts. Double benefit of lower energy costs and no more buzzing.A switch at one end allows you to change the warmth of the light, making them suitable for both shop and living areas. Highly recommended.

solid replacement/upgrades for fluorescent
Selectable color temp is awesome. Brightness is better than the fluoro bulbs they replaced, and you can select the brightness on the bulb itself. Combined, the selectable color temp and brightness makes for a very nice looking and versatile bulb. If you have a ballastless installation or the correct type of ballast these are a breeze to set up. If you have an older fixture like I did in my shop, you're going to have to do a little rewiring to bypass the ballast to get these to work. That's less fun 12 feet in the air on a ladder than it sounds. They seem well made though, with whatever plastic composite they use for the tube being a lot less nerve wracking to deal with than the glass fluoro tubes. Only had them in place for a couple weeks so will try to update later on durability. All in all, would buy these if you're looking to replace or upgrade your fluoro tubes.
