Absolutely love this; arrived quickly, was easy to install (but do have a fair knowledge on electronics although basic common sense would suffice). Shade felt a little plasticky and flimsy but once in place looks like frosted glass, nice touch with lots of micro holes in the shade and as you move past the light it gives the effect of twinkling stars.Supplied remote control functions do everything that you need On, off, Brightness, colour, volume.On remote and in app good choice of brightness in both warm and ice white functions and nice colour array also. Not a bad Bluetooth speaker considering everything else it can do seems to be a ‘master at most’. Took a little fiddling to pair up to the Wi-fi but remember seeing this in other reviews although persevere it’s definitely worth it, can then operate through an app in your phone, tablet etc. and also operate through Alexa which although she can not here you, you can also use as a speaker attached to what she is playing, music etc. (If in ear shot of Alexa) gives you hands free music, weather etc. Love this! only little down side was a bit dear but guess considering the rest of the review I got what I paid for.

The light looks cheap, made entirely of plastic however it is easy to fit to the ceiling and the light quality given off from it is very good. The instructions supplied by the manufacturer are very poor. You are instructed to down load an app to your phone so that you can control it from your phone. Once installed the instructions within the app conflict with the written instructions packaged with the light. The first obvious issue is that upon switching on the light the instructions state it will blink fast (twice per second) it- doesnt. You are then told to select another option whereby the light blinks slowly by pressing the remote control for several seconds. This does happen but when you go to the next stage searching for and connecting to the light on your smart phone this is where it falls down. I was able to see the light in a list on my phone but whenever I clicked on it to select it I recieved a message on my phone briefly saying internet problem. I have checked everything with my router , phone and repeated the process multiple times with no success. I then contacted the seller, this was completely useless as all they did was a send me a copy of the leaflet I recieved with the light and when I explained I had already tried all options and followed the instructions but it didn't work they sent me another message saying now that your problem is fixed can we do anything else for you? I responded again saying the problem wasn't fixed but recieved no further reply. There seems to be either some sort of problem with the light or the app, either way you don't seem able to connect to it with your phone I will send it back and ask for a replacement but looking at the reviews I am very suspicious. Plenty of people giving it good reviews with English sounding names but sort of written in poor/pigeon English has now made me question their validity?

I am very please with the product and really like the most important feature of it is called its simple process of installation. Very lightweight and 15-20 minutes jobs to get it on the ceiling.Other important features that I really found interesting -easy to change different colour lights and dimmer gives good ambienceBluetooth speaker, so no need for an additional speaker for music,can be easily controlled by its smart app and Alexa. life easier :)Overall value for money.Customer services are good and quick in their service response.Happy to recommend it.

Although Google compatible the speaker can't be connected and used via Google home, only the light can be operated. So you can't tell google to play your music via this speaker. The speaker is just a Bluetooth connectable speaker, not smart in any way that I could work out. Might have been me though.I didn't try Alexa.Speaker might be defective on my one, the sound from it was terrible, like a blown speaker sound, all distortion and vibration at low volume levels.This is why I'm returning it and also the lack of Google integration for the speaker.Light was fine, nice and bright.My expectations might have been to high.

Great product, very neat, good sound and great light options and just what I wanted. However it took several days and lots of undocumented detection work to set it up. Main problem was having a router that worked automatically on both 2.4 and 5gb wi-fi networks. You need to split your router into two distinct networks and then your smart speaker light works perfectly. You then only have to reconfigure every other phone/tablet/smart speaker et al to work only on the faster option.

Original review: Great item. Works very well and - once an electrician did the wiring, easy to fit to the ceiling. The instructions aren’t great, though. They don’t mention that the cover can pop off to allow easier screw fitting, and the instructions on connecting to the app are out of date (don’t really on auto connection, connect manually and chose “lightning: wireless and Bluetooth” from the list).Updated: this item should be avoided. I’ve had two, and both have developed the same fault after 24 months. They stop responding with your phone/smart device, needing reset and set up again and again, and eventually stop responding to the reset, meaning you can no longer reconnect them with the smart life app.When two of the same device develop the same fault in approximately the same time, that feels like a poorly designed item, best to look somewhere else.
