A classic
What a great little pedal. For a small box it has a profound affect on the shape of the sound.

Phenomenal
Love my pedal, I love all the keely pedals, I have also the keely darkside pedal, I can sound like pink floyd no problem with the darkside of the moon based delay pedal and it does even more that just delay, the compressor is phenomenal too.

Good, but not for me.
To begin, the only reason for the four stars was simply, that it wasn't for me.First, the compressor.Solidly built, well designed and well packaged, although, given that it came from Amazon US I thought it could have been packaged much better by Amazon considering its value and the distance it had to travel.I can't really comment on the Single coil/ Humbucker toggle switch as all my guitars are humbucker. Naturally I did toggle the switch but there was, to me at least, no noticable difference. All the knobs felt strong and well seated, the light, to me at least wasn't overly bright, ( this is a thing apparently). Its size, I would feel, would not demand to much space on a pedalboard, if you were bying one for your board. It also, as compressors do, makes playing easier.Second, my thoughts. After getting a feel for the compressor I felt that I was setting the levels/knobs very low, increasing them was altering the sound I go for a little too much. Because of this I questioned if it was the right compressor for me.I understand that you don't always need a great level of compression but when you are virtually not using it for its intended purposes, then you have to ask the question.....?Contray to what you may view on YouTube, if you are considering getting one, I feel there is a little bit of a learning curve, as there sometimes can be. Of course I understood this from the off and took time in getting to know how this particular pedal works, but the vibe just wasn't touching base.Conclusion.The Keeley compressor plus is extremely popular ( Global ) and made by a well respected company. It's well thought out but unfortunaly, after watching many Youtube reviews and reading just as many, found it justwasn't for me.As I always say, sounds we hear in our heads and what we are looking for in a pedal, or any piece of gear for thatmatter, is personal and subjective.Still wanting to a new compressor pedal, I have now invested in a TC electronic Hypergravity. Not the mini version, but the full size one ( four knobs ). As of writing this review I am still working with it but feel that is more of whatI am looking for. Thanks for reading.
