Works as intended!
I got this to stream for longer than an hour, and it worked! If your Sony ZV-1 shuts off still after a bit with this dummy battery, it's likely overheating. I solved this by simply opening the back screen to keep the internal parts cooler.

It works like a charm
Love that it plus it plugs into a USB adapter

Works Good forSony ZV-1, but needs a bottom rig
I am pleased that this worked well for the Sony ZV-1 camera. I was concerned it wouldn't fit at first but it fit the battery slot just fine.Warning: make sure what you plug it into doesn't go above 5V or the battery could be damaged. I just used an old iPhone USB plug I had lying around.Using as a webcam with 1080p and 4k output through HDMI, the battery doesn't get hot, only warm. Now, I ran it for around 30 minutes at 4k 30p and the battery did get hot. I imagine you could record for an hour to the camera's SD card directly and it won't overheat but you'd have to test it yourself. Now for the Sony ZV-1 the batter door hinge is directly above the camera screw mount. While you can technically screw a mount in it puts pressure on the battery cable and is tight. I ended up ordering a UURig R054 bottom camera mount so I could mount the camera on a tripod stand and it worked just fine.

Perfect Accessory for Long Camera Sessions
This Dummy Battery is an essential accessory for my Sony RX100 V. The dummy battery fits perfectly, and the cable passes snugly through the small hole in the battery cover, ensuring a clean setup. It’s been a game-changer for long shoots, as I no longer need to worry about battery swaps. Whether for photography or videography, this kit adds convenience and reliability to my workflow.

Works great, but you'll also need to buy this:
The product itself works great so far. No complaints. However, because the Sony ZV1 does not have a hole for the wire of this battery to feed through, you must leave the battery compartment door open to use this product, which will prevent you from using a tripod or boom mount. The way I bypassed this issue, was by buying a base mount bracket. When you add a base mount bracket to your ZV1, you're able to use a tripod or boom mount while the battery compartment door is open. The one I bought was by UURig, which works great in conjunction with this dummy battery. While that is a slight downside to using a dummy battery, it's NOT the fault of this product itself, but rather the poor ZV1 design choice by Sony.

Works, but watch your AC adapter
Works great, but I got scared at first. My camera was only 2 weeks old. I used an AC adaptor. The camera turned on and quickly shut off like it shorted. Turns out the adapter may not put out the voltage stated. Plugged into my computer and used the brick from my ipad and it worked great. Like the description says, use a high quality adapter. Not all put out what the sticker says.

You need this if you're planning to stream/record videos with the Sony ZV-1
Like most of you, I've had issues with streaming with the ZV-1, but this resolved the issue for me. The method of using just the included power cable does not work. No more dead batteries or overheating. Alternatively, if you just need for long form video, it'll work perfectly as well.
