Excellent little torch for bugging!
Every year around this time I start looking for a new flashlight to take on my nightly bug collecting adventures in the summer. I want something good and bright, with a long runtime at high power, and USB chargeable. The trend toward built-in batteries seemed like a good idea last year, so I bought two Sofirns that got me through the summer. I quickly realized though that if your flashlight arrives in your mailbox with a partially depleted battery, or you have an especially long night, two lights aren’t going to be enough. That’s especially true if your husband has lost his flashlight and wants to borrow one of yours, or your son is going camping, or you forgot to charge up after last night…etc. This little unit has a battery you can easily pop out and replace from a pocket full of charged- up batteries, and that’s easy to do in the dark. The charging port cover is thick and rugged, the light tail stands, it’s lightweight and will fit easily into my pants pocket. I switched it on and was immediately impressed with the brightness of this little light. My first high end flashlight was a Nitecore and when that one finally cried uncle Nitecore didn’t have anything that appealed to me. Having another Nitecore is like coming home; I loved that first Nitecore and I’m pretty sure I’m going to love this one just as much if not more.
