Very inconsistent brightness
I got this because of the 5k lumens. I know this projector is capable of it, because when set to dynamic black mode and I hit the menu button, the whole screen gets BRIGHT and VIBRANT without being washed out. It's awesome! ... but only when I'm in the menu.I cannot, for the life of me, get it to look that good when watching normally. Even maxing out brightness, contrast, whatever - after exiting menu, a few seconds later it goes dim. I've tried the bright profile, HDR profile, everything. It works well enough so we're keeping it, but I wish I could get it to use it's "menu level" of brightness 100% of the time. (it does have a power mode option where you can set what percentage of power to use - when set to 100%, it's dimmer than when I put it on dynamic blacks).

Solid, although unfocused for most of the image outside of the bottom center
This is a good and portable UST projector. I use it for VJ'ing live music shows, and multiple venue tech's have remarked that they're impressed with it. The fact that it fits snugly in a carryon-sized hard-shell case has been crucial for touring. The throw distance is remarkably small, even for a UST. However, there is one very annoying caveat with this model, which is that the main point of focus is not centered in the frame, but rather at the bottom of the image. This is significantly more noticeable when using the projector with a larger throw, but it's apparent even at smaller sizes. I've been told that I should reach out to the manufacturer to see if I just have a bad unit, but I'm not so sure. Would definitely have paid a little more to avoid this flaw, but it's also on the cheaper side for bright, FHD UST so I'm happy with it. If portability is a factor and your budget doesn't go higher I would absolutely recommend it.
