Wheat Montana Flour, Bronze Chief, 10 Pound (Pack of 4)

I've bought this flour for many years at WalMart, but am no longer able to get to the city to get it. I don't know why it took me so long to look for it at Amazon, but I'm almost too delighted for words to find it here and get it at such a good price. Even better, I get it as a "subscription" and save even more.You can't go wrong with this product. If you want the nutrition of whole wheat, but not the strong taste of the red stuff, you will love this flour. I use it mixed with a little unbleached white flour to make it rise a bit better, but it makes a wonderful, hearty loaf all by itself or mixed with other grains. My favorite is a 3/3/2 cup mix of Prairie Gold, unbleached bread flour and oatmeal. With a little honey, it is to die for. If you don't use the white flour, increase the amount of yeast you use and allow the dough to rise a bit longer. I've been baking bread for more than 50 years, and this is the best I've ever made.And those concerned with GMO products will be happy to know that this wheat is GMO free, raised in the heart of Montana and harvested with pride.

My partner and I both bake a lot. I bought this when our local grocery store was out of flour at the beginning of quarantine. We're almost done with our second bag 3 ish months later. The most convenient part is the flour coming in 4 bags. Having one 40lb bag I'd worry about moisture getting into it. Having the 4 10lb bags is much more manageable. Oddly my order did come in 2 separate shipments. I got 3 bags at once, of course thought someone skimped on my order. I contacted the seller and within the day they explained my order was being filled from 2 locations and my second bag was on the way. It arrived a few days after the first 3. Great flour, great service, great deal.

I love Montana Wheat's products, but the white whole wheat has been hard to find. I use it mainly to make bread and pasta. Very happy with the product and the seller. It came a day earlier than expected.

This is my favorite whole wheat flour for baking bread. I use it all the time. The bread has a good texture and it’s not heavy or dense. I used to buy my flour or wheat berries from a food co-op, which is now closed, and I’m so glad to find this source even though the price has risen dramatically!

I thought I was getting the Prairie Gold which is white also and has more fiber but this product is fine. We visited the Wheat Montana store while in Three Forks a couple of years ago and I got a 50# bag of the Prairie Gold which I froze while I was using and that worked out fine. All their bakery products we bought were very tasty, since we couldn't go into the store ,which was packed, and not get some goodies too. Would buy Prairie Gold next time as that was my favorite flour

I love this flour, but in the discription it says there are 4 10lb bags, I received mine and there are only 2 10 lb bags! $40 is a bit expensive for 20 lb of flour

This flour works better for all my cooking and baking than anything else on the market. I make everything fresh from pasta, to biscuits, and bread to pie crust. Excellent flour!
