This stuff is truly a laundry mvp, if you're the sort of absentminded person who forgets to switch your laundry on a regular basis. I've ruined tons of clothing to musty mildew smell over the years, up until I noticed this at the store and decided to give it a try. It was a last ditch effort to save a favorite pair of jeans I'd ruined, but I didn't have a ton of faith. I've tried a bunch of these types of products over the years, and at most they might briefly mask the mildew smell, until your body heat warms the fabric and then the mildew smell is back in full force. This stuff works, and it's been a necessity in my house ever since. Occasionally I might have to run a musty load twice with it, but it has always worked. I haven't had to throw a single item away since using it. My sister tells me it helps a ton for kid and pet accidents in clothing or bedding, she's hooked now too. Great product, and well worth the price. Years ago they had some trouble with sometimes leaky lids, but it's been years since I had any issues. I don't notice that my clothes are specificalky softer and don't smell any heavy scents after using, it seems like it just gets that musty smell out. A bottle lasts me about a month or 6 weeks, for two people, so the price seems reasonable to me.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Funk Away Laundry Detergent is an absolute miracle product. It truly takes **any smell away**, especially that awful moldy/mildew odor that happens when laundry gets forgotten in a front loader. One wash and the smell is completely gone—no lingering odors at all. You also don’t need much at all. A small bottle lasts me **6–12 months** because I only use it when I really need it—like rescuing forgotten laundry, washing my husband’s work clothes after the BBQ smoke has fully permeated them, or tackling heavy-duty odors. I even used it to clean my clothes after spending a week in the **Costa Rica jungle**, and it removed every single musty, sweaty, outdoorsy smell. This stuff works where regular detergents fail. If you deal with strong odors even occasionally, Funk Away is 100% worth having on hand. Five stars without hesitation—highly recommend!

I was skeptical about its ability to eliminate/mask extreme trapped-in odors, but FunkAway Booster fulfilled its promise. I used it on some old workout shirts that were dirty: sweat, mildew, and stains. FunkAway helped remove the odors--these were from LONG ago--but its stain-fighting powers were insufficient to erase the yellow stains. Four stars because it got rid of the stink, I cared less about the stains. As others noted, the screwtop cap is oddly fragile and minor leakage was apparent upon delivery.

I like that this product helps remove odors from laundry and stains as well. I find I have to use 2 capfuls for stronger odors. The downside is that the bottle is very small and doesn’t last very long. I wish the bottle was bigger. I didn’t notice any leaking from the bottle. It comes in good packaging. I used to get the smell out of the very smelly blanket that was in storage for a year. I washed the item twice and used to capfuls each time, and the smell was gone. Versatility-you can use just about any type of clothing and material. I once had a stain and I put a little bit of liquid directly on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before washing. It took the stain right out. freshness-this product has no scent but keeps the clothes fresh until I use them again. The clothes still absorb body odor and need to be washed again with funkaway laundry. Performance-the product works well, but did not completely remove the smell from musty bath towels.( ended up using bleach to get the smell out)

I've been using this product for going on 5 years and I can honestly say it's the most effective at odor elimination and stains. Typically I use this when washing towels, musty bath mats and gym clothes. You easily measure out a cap full and add to the soap dispenser rather than rinse dispenser and everything comes out smelling fresh. It doesn't have a scent so I don't have to be concerned with residue smells either. This most recent delivery, I was pleasantly surprised by a bigger bottle. Get this stuff!

The product works great. It has eliminated the wrestling clothes sweat smell. I only gave 3 stars because I have ordered it twice and both times the bottle leaked. The first one the cap was broken and the second just leaking because it was on its side. The first lid was taped, the second wasn't. I will look for it in a store.

My adult son still lives at home after college. He swims, goes to Gym daily after work and he does laundry once a week. Between the moist sweaty gym clothes and moist towels - well you know that Athletic Stench in his laundry bin, the laundry room etc.I was worried it would carry over into the washer we all use. He uses one small capful in the washer along with his All Hypoallergenic scent free liquid detergent. All I can say is this is amazing and really gets that “ funky” smell out - somehow it neutralizes it and there is no fragrance masking . He can’t use Fragrances anyway as he is atopic and has eczema. I bought 2 more bottles of it to keep in stock. He even admits that “ funky smell is gone” which he also noted in his gym clothes. Wish I could find it locally.
