Lorenzo and Mia
Lorenzo Moretti was to inherit being the head of the Costa Nostra, but he declined it in favor of his wife Anya, angering his father and leaving the Coata Nostra in the capable hands of his brother Dante.Sadly although the love of his beloved Anya was to be with Lorenzo forever, Anya herself would not be. When Anya died Lorenzo became a sad and angry man who swore never to love another woman.Mia Mulcahy was married to a brutal man named Brad who also happened to be a police officer, so any time he beat her bloody there was no one to report him to. After too many years of thinking he would get better, or that maybe he wasn’t as bad as she thought he was, Mia finally had enough and went to ask for shelter from her cousin Kat who was married to the head of the mob.Mia was happy at her cousin’s home, and without her knowledge Kat’s husband and his brothers were looking into Mia’s husband, because they were certain he would come looking for her.Mia found herself often in the company of Lorenzo, because he was always either terribly angry or very sad of both of those emotions looked the same on Lorenzo. She wanted so much to help him they way he and their family helped her, but of course Lorenzo wasn’t the type to accept either sympathy or help.Lorenzo didn’t know what it was about Mia that even with everything thing she had been through she was always smiling and singing some song or another. Mia was always wearing yellow and smelled like jasmine and lemons and he couldn’t help but to give her the nickname Sunshine. Lorenzo found himself attracted to Mia, but then he felt like he was cheating on Anya.Mia and Lorenzo eventually are pulled together like a magnet and steel and afterward Lorenzo refuels guilty and rejects Mia. Her heart broken, Mia asks for a false identity and help finding a different place to live. Lorenzo hates seeing her go, but agrees that Mia deserves to have a man who can love her with his whole heart. All is as well as it could possibly be until Lorenzo gets a call in the middle of the night from Mia, Brad found her! There was lots of romance, drama, spice, and excellent characters in this story and everything was well written. All the important characters had full back stories and Mia was a sweetheart that you couldn’t help but to love. Five stars!

spicy
This book was really good I have loved each one of the books in this series. Lorenzo and Mia’s road to love has to be one of my favorites, the roller coaster of together not together, healed, hurt, broken, mended had me feeling all the bumps, twists and turns that came their way right along with them. I am a fan of spicy but I think there were times it felt Iike it was a little too much. I enjoyed it don’t get me wrong but at points I felt like it was over kill.

Beautiful read!…..4.5 Stars!
Lorenzo Moretti, Dante’s older brother is grumpy, broody and unhappy. He’s still mourning the loss of his wife even though it’s been two years since she’s gone. Mia seeks shelter from her abusive husband in the Moretti mansion where her only family lives. Her cousin Kat is married to Dante and she was her savior. Mia and Lorenzo found some chemistry but it’s all just sex and nothing more. Can Lorenzo love again without feeling guilty? He promised his wife that she’s the only one for him. This story has a good plot, full of emotion and suspense, a twist and lots of bdsm sex which I skimmed through (not a fan). I love the Morettis, their love for each other and their growing family.

I got what I came for -
So I wanted to read this book to see what Anya's surprise was, and I enjoyed reading her letter. I also enjoyed the overall theme of grief and how a person can "move on" after their spouse dies. However, I didn't really like Lorenzo 😕.I especially didn't like Lorenzo FOR Mia. Mia deserved to find her "person" and to be loved by them like Lorenzo loved Anya. I also don't agree with Mia going straight into "sub training" without going to any type of therapist for what she endured with her ex-husband across a 10-year span. I feel like Lorenzo is training Mia to not be herself and to be more like reserved Anya.."training" her not to speak so much when she's clearly a very social person. I also don't think this particular story should've ended with Mia and Lorenzo being together. Imo, I think they had a lot of self work to do before they jumped into a serious relationship. And to be perfectly honest, I think just about any single person that was around Lorenzo at that point in time could've ended up with Lorenzo. Didn't have to be Mia at all. I said what I said. Lol Mia happens to be 2 things -1.) kind and 2.) understanding about Lorenzo's dead wife and how he's still in love with her. In his own words, Mia would never live up to her. I know that was said in an argument, but i think those words would forever live in the back of Mia's head.Even though it was mentioned multiple times that they had "chemistry," I just didn't feel it. The whole time, I wanted them to go their separate ways and for Mia to be better off. HOWEVER, every time she did, something bad would miraculously happen, and they'd be back together. For Mia's protection or whatever. 🙄😒 To each their own and people can live however they want but this felt like settling. Mia's nice, and Lorenzo doesn't beat up Mia. That's the criteria for their relationship. This is just my opinion and is how I perceived their overall interactions. Because of this, I didn't enjoy the Dom/sub scenes as I didn't like Lorenzo and what he did to Mia at the club. Especially his "the perfect woman" comment. Just grossed me out.I am excited about the next book. Hopefully, Lorenzo will get taken out by Kere 😅🤣 OVERALL, good addition to the series. I just didn't like Lorenzo, and that's fine. We aren't going to like everybody, right?

A true grumpy/sunshine
The first couple pages remind you of how at ease Sadie Kincaid can make you feel with her writing. It’s like coming home, being wrapped in a blanket burrito, handed cocoa and told you can have the entire day no interruptions. The spice was fire starting almost immediately and you can see why, Lorenzo and Mia are combustible. At 40% I was having my heart ripped out of my chest and balling my eyes out. Mia is so strong it’s absolutely incredible. To live through everything she has and still know she deserves to me more than a fling and to know in her heart that she was falling in love with this dark pit of a beautiful man….AND WALK AWAY?? Just jaw droppingly strong. I couldn’t believe all of this was happening and I still had more than half the book to go.I had completely forgotten about the letting Anya have Max and those pages had me crying again!!!! Never had a Sadie Kincaid book made me feel this much sadness. But then when all heck breaks loose and our girl Mia defends herself against her piece of crap husband, you find out where Lorenzo stands. And then he hurts her AGAIN!!!! And I HATED HIM!!! I wanted to scream and yell and tell him how he is letting the best most beautiful sunshine woman out of his life!Don’t worry, he made it right! This story is so rich and so much happens and it is so full of light and dark in such a drastic dichotomy it keeps you straddling the middle constantly!Their Dom/sub relationship although super sexy, was minimal and easily could have been skipped but I’m glad it wasn’t because it is definitely a huge part of who Lorenzo is.Mia is sweet, kind and has endless amounts of grace. Lorenzo is brash, dark, grieving and heavily in love with Mia. The perfect grumpy/sunshine. ♥️

🎢🎢🎡⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mother of bananas 🫠 🫠🥵🥵😍😍
The dynamic these two have is impeccable. Two opposites definitely attracted each other. Lorenzo Moretti is a killer. A broken man and Mia Stone is a fruity kind of person. He should frighten her but instead he intrigues her. She wants to be his submissive. He is still mourning his wife, while fighting the urge to dominate her… but I was left speechless. Every chapter had me on the edge… this is a 10/10. Sadie Kincaid just did it again!
