Leaks
It's a shame as initially I thought this kettle was great. Looks good, heated fairly quickly and quietly. However there is a rectangular hole above the max line (shown in picture). If you tilt the kettle back water gets into this hole and then ends up dribbling out of the bottom of the kettle. It's resulted in boiling water dribbling out onto me as I walked across the kitchen. Also sometimes when I lift it off the base unit there is a little bit of water on the base potentially leaking the same way when the water boils. It's not a huge amount of water, but you expect a new kettle to be water tight and not leak at all.No reason to have this hole that I can see, either mine is broken/faulty or this is a significant design Flaw. I will be returning, might order a 2nd one and see if my first was just faulty.

NOT VERY GOOD
I should have read the negative reviews before I bought this! The handle was about to fall off so I put tape around to hold it tight, not wishing to have the bother of sending it back. Then it leaked water thought the steam holes and it got into the bottom and blew the circuit breaker. I have nearly burnt myself on this due to steam coming out of the holes by the side of lid. I won't bother sending it back, I'll just bin it and buy a better one.

Faulty and Dangerous, trips the electric in my house when plugged in.
Just my luck that the item starts tripping the electric in my house a few days after the returns window closes!Everytime this product is plugged in, it now trips the electric for the whole house. It seems like the kettle has a weird overflow mechanism. Even when half full and well below the max line, it leaks steam down an overflow and water comes out on the underside of the kettle onto the electric base. This seems to be poorly sealed so water has got inside the base.Anyway, unusuable now, will contact manufacturer.

Serious design fault of this Swan Neck Kettle
Very poorly designed which could be borderline dangerous, there are 4 holes in the casing of this Kettle which I assume is for steam But between the Outer Casing and the inner Kettle boiling container where you boil your water there is a Gap therefore condensation trickles into the gap which causes water to leak when unattended onto the Electric Base Unit so anytime you remove the Kettle there is water dripping from the underside of the KettleI have had this Kettle a couple of weeks now and it’s just got worse. My advice is that I would definitely Not buy!!!!

It leaks
Unfortunately, although it looks great, my kettle leaks boiling water from the base, close the the switch on/off button, and onto the electrical base. Very dangerous! Hoping they’re not all like this. Love the look. Love the price. Don’t love leaking water all over the electrical unit.

Terrible design
So the thermostat that turns the kettle off is fed down the handle which results in water being fed into the base during boiling sequence. How on earth has this passed safety standards !!
