I really love this item. It came with everything you need to start learning and playing the kalimba. It's a beautiful color of blue and looks well made. It came in perfect condition. This is a birthday gift and I know my grandson will love it. Now, I want one too...lol.

I bought this kalimba as a birthday gift for my baby girl. She is 8 years old and shows curiosity about her father's guitar. So I bought it. It is small and perfect for kids to handle. His father helps tune and it makes a pleasant sound. The finger covers are very useful, but she doesn't practice it for long time each day. There are many learning videos on you tube to learn to play songs. It may be a little more difficult for child to use, but my girl is stubborn studying it. Honestly it will take time to learn. She hopes to play the full tune at Christmas. The butterfly design is unique, polished wood surface is safe for children. Inexpensive and worth the price. I'm considering to order more kalimba thumb pianos as Christmas gifts to others. Would recommend to others who need to develop children's hobby in music.

Easy to play, easy to tune. It looks great. Everyone can play it.

Obviously due to the materials & pricepoint, a clear amazing wonderful sound isn't to be expected. It is decent, particularly for someone who has no prior experience with the Kalimba and just wants to take in inexpensive dip into the pool & see if they like it. Which is exactly what I did. The furthest keys on either end are pretty dead. Again, it's not the highest quality product. But I would strongly recommend it regardless !
