Best Purchase for my Dental Health
So glad I finally bought this. I’d been thinking about it for awhile & finally pulled the trigger after bringing a friend to a series of 3 intense dental appointments. After watching her suffer through planing and invasive work (and the accompanying bills!!), I knew it was time to take my own teeth seriously again. Here’s my review after 1+ months of use:Pros:- too many to list!- vibration instead of spinning - easier on your gums- pressure indicator - sound changes when you’re pressing too hard - protects your gums (I need this feature more than I realized)- lasts a long time on a single charge. I traveled for 10 days without the charger and it still had plenty of charge when I got home.- sound indicator when you’re supposed to switch brushing quadrants. Took a little bit of getting used to the length of time, but it’s really helpful to know how long to brush each section.- easy to pause and restart if you need to spit- take off the head & it fits easily in a small travel toiletries bag. I even returned the travel case that I purchased because it wasn’t necessary. I’ll probably buy a small protector just for the brush head.- teeth feel so much cleaner throughout the day- teeth are noticeably whiter- not as loud as Oral B- USB charging makes it easy for my frequent international travels- Excellent value!!Cons:- Was a bit annoying to have to dig up a USB charger, but it’s worth it. I’ve read that you can contact the brand and they will send a 2-prong if that works better for you.Absolute recommendation!

Great Basic SonicCare
I travel a lot for work and bought this toothbrush to supplement a SonicCare Flexcare that I've used for years. I was just looking for the basics (really all I cared about was the 2-min and 30-sec timers, what Phillips calls their SmartTimer and QuadPacer features). Initially, I bought the Series 2, which I returned because it felt less powerful than my old Flexcare. Doing a little research I found that the Series 2 advertises 31,000 moves/min where my old Flexcare did 62,000 moves/min. The ProtectiveClean 4100 had all the features I wanted, plus does the 62,000 moves/min. Note that when I got it out of the box, it too felt a bit underpowered. I determined that this was because it starts out in an EasyStart mode which gradually ramps up the power over the first 14 brushings to let people get used to the SonicCare feeling. It's easy to turn off though. Problem solved! A great toothbrush! I love that they got rid of the rubber grip, which on my old toothbrush has gotten really ratty looking. Beyond that, it's got everything that you need and nothing you don't.

Overall, great!
+ Great battery life, will last ~2 weeks before even going down a battery level+ Comes with a nice lil cap for the toothbrush head to keep it somewhat sanitary+ 2-minute timer divided into 4 30-second sections to indicate when you should switch sides of your mouth+ Pressure sensor, will buzz in a pattern to alert you if you're pressing too hard+ Does a good job, I guess. I'm not a dental hygienist, so I can't be sure until I go back to my dentist, but my mouth feels clean+ Wireless charging! Neat!I don't think I can think of any negatives. It's a bit pricey, but not for an electric toothbrush, and electric toothbrushes are definitely a good thing everybody kinda should have. I'm sure this thing will last you a good, long while, so I absolutely recommend this.

Good Basic Model
Bought this to replace a 4-year old, higher end, Sonicare HX6930 that finally gave out (head stem became too loose). I used some of the advanced features on the old one for a while, but stopped when I realized that they did not really do much more than the standard settings--just different vibration patterns. So, I opted for this basic version to save a few bucks, since I already had the sanitizer from the old one. It seems to do the same job and has a couple of features, like the start-up setting for new users, pressure sensor and quad-pacing (which I like, as I tend to rush without it), so overall I am pleased with the purchase. The only drawback is that the head is too small, but the replacement heads I still have form the old one are the right size, so it's an easy fix.Battery life is good--about 25-30 2-minute brushes between charges. It's also MUCH better than the E-series model, which gunked up all the time (I had to buy one of those toothbrush head cover things to keep it clean, which worked fairly well by the way, but they need to be replaced periodically too). They should discontinue that one, as the basic diamond head models are only a few bucks more and much more sanitary (easier to clean and keep clean), and the replacement heads are cheaper. If you are still using a manual toothbrush and considering an electric one, definitely buy one, any decent one, as my (and my wife's) dental check-ups are nearly flawless as far as brushing effectiveness and plaque removal goes, since we went electric about 10 years ago. The amount of scraping and picking the dental hygienist has to do now is 10-20% of what they did before. You'll love it; your dentist won't.

Love it! Keeps tartar to a minimum. My hygienist loves my teeth. I make her job easier.
UPDATE: Originally bought in 2018. Still working well in 2021.I like it’s price point. Also it works with the charging stand of my 10 year old model that died. I didn’t realize how much my original one had degraded until I brushed with this new one the first time. So much more powerful! I was glad I could set it to gradually increase in power over a two week period. I did miss this electric toothbrush over the four weeks after my old one died and I decided to buy this one.
