Do not get if you want to live control with coding
I rarely leave a bad review, but this robot works as a toy when you contol via Bluetooth or usb and software, but if you want to control it and run things on demand for a purpose it is worthless. There are no code samples that show how to control via serial/usb/bt live, and directions only show how toUpload code to the robot and make it do things, not control it live. Without those samples this product is just a toy and can’t be used for any real purpose. I would give a much better review if they provided a way to live control via python, but I don’t have 15 hours to dissect and figure out how to communicate w/ the device via usb cable and code.**** after about 4 hours I was able to figure out how to directly control this via cable and blu tooth fromMy python scripts(had to trace my serial port and recreate the commands and send via python. Now I can do what I wanted. There should def be code samples included to show direct control via python (not uploading scripts to the device itself). If anyone else needs let me know.It is pretty cool once working…. Def was a pain though and if you are not a decent nerd this is pretty much a paperweight as I have 30 years as a tech professional and it was hard for me.*update*I ordered a second one of these. It I not perfect and misses commands at times, but fixed by double sending in my code. At its price there is nothing better out there. I still do not recommend to a non tech individual. This would be a 5 star rating had the code samples come with it and better instructions to control it via code.

Nice hardware. Poor software documentation
I largely agree with Vinnie881's review. The arm felt well-built and the servos stronger than I expected. There are options for Bluetooth, Mouse/Joypad, a separete serial link for control by Arduino boards. But it's suprisingly difficult to write a program on the PC to control the arm. 4 stars because I read Vinnie's review before I bought it and I knew what to expectEdit. I put my code on GitHub as MaxArmControl
